Yes, they can be sent to Iraq. Korea is only a base, we're not at war w/Korea, so Korea is not a seperate theatre. Just like troops in Germany can sent over to Iraq.

Well, sounds like I may have lucked out for the moment. I won't be leaving this time around to go to Iraq, but maybe in 6 months. It sounds like they'll be rotating us out then. So, even though I'm not leaving yet, prayers are desired for those who are. Thanks everyone.

The Air Force has already begun shuffling troops from Korea. It's a little strange how each service is having to adjust with keeping so many troops on two wars (Afghanistan and Iraq) yet we're booting people out

I don't know about Iraq but I do know about the Mojave desert. Drink lots of water even thought you don't feel like it. You will sweat but it will evaporate before you feel it; hence, without constantly sipping water you will dehydrate.
