  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

He's baaaack!

After an 8-year hiatus, Godzilla returns to the big screen in 2012.

Since 1954, the Godzilla persona has had a long run in films. Not counting the 1998 US misfire featuring Matthew Broderick, Godzilla has appeared in 28 Japanese-made films.

I'm a huge fan of Godzilla (the 54' Japanese original Gojira is one of my favorite flicks).

I'm really looking forward to this, as I think American film makers have learned from the mistakes of the 98 disaster. Also, the list of producers on it are mostly people who have a long history in the franchise.

I gotta say, I like the cheesier 1970's fare the best. But I watch the others too.

Funny thing though, when you watch the films you thought were cheesy before in the Japanese language with accurate subtitles, the cheesy factor seems to evaporate to a large degree. "Son of Godzilla" comes to mind in this regard.

Oh wow, so there are fellow Daikaiju tokusatsu fans here gathering as well? COOL! I love Godzilla and back then, I have Godzilla VS Mothra, Godzilla VS MechaGodzilla and the fail of 1998, Godzilla even though the CGI rocks. Got to love Godzilla for that daikaiju is an epic icon in tokusatsu history.
