Yea...along those lines. I have not seen it though I would love to, like you I heard that it was really funny.

I was just wondering if anybody has ever seen the musical Godspell? I saw it at a local church and I really liked it, especially the music. If you've seen it, what did you think of it?

I saw it about 10 times in the early 70's. Can you tell that I loved it?

Did it still seem fresh and true?

I've seen Godspell once on stage, own the video, and really like the music. This is also one of my husband's favorite! He plays guitar & does some of the music.

It's based on the gospel of Matthew....starts with John the Baptist singing Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord, telling the world that the Messiah was coming, and ends with Jesus' crucifixion and the promise of hope for tomorrow....they don't really deal too much with the resurrection though.....
