My wife and I have a three year old and on Saturdays, when she could sleep in, she is up at 7:00. Many a Saturday morning when my wife and I wanted to sleep in, we have looked at each other and asked, “At what age do they start wanting to sleep in?” Our daughter always getting up early and never letting us sleep in causes a lot of problems in our house with regard to sleep. We never feel like we have enough sleep, and when the alarm clock goes off on a weekday, there is the temptation to set it for thirty minutes later and lay back down. There is that constant thought that “if I could just get enough sleep.” Well the plain truth is, we never can catch up on sleep and we cannot bank sleep either. I have just given in to the thought that I will always be tired and that I might as well get used to it. But there are some things we can do to help overcome the constant feeling we have of wanting to sleep. Read on and see if these help you.
