God's Peace

From I Am the Good Shepherd by Stan Kellner
Romans 16:20... The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
Psalm 23:2... He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.
Have you ever thought about God's peace being a spiritual weapon? I didn't until I looked at the 2 articles in the above links. What do you value the most when faced with a trial, test or spiritual battle? I'm finding I value God's peace - inspite of any circumstance. It's no coincidence that peace is an important characteristic of the 'Good Shepherd'. God's peace allows you to find rest for your soul no matter what you may be facing. When we maintain peace during trials, tests or spiritual battles it is a crushing blow to fear, anxiety or turmoil. Our victory doesn't come from within us, from our emotions or intellect. Our victory comes from the Lord Jesus Christ and His peace - the peace that passes all understanding. This peace is actually a powerful spiritual weapon and witness.
___________
Philippians 4:6-7... Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Thank You Lord for Your peace, a peace that is beyond understanding, a peace available in any circumstance. Show each of us how to rely on Your peace. Guard each of our hearts and minds in the Lord Jesus Christ. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with each of us.

God's peace is a wonderful thing! If it were not for His peace, I don't know what I would do. Am looking forward to reading the links in your devotion. Hedi, Norfolk, VA
