  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

 Hello, I wanted to start a thread about God's love. It was inevitable that i would post this... his love is all around us.

As I was reading through the Word, I noticed even more than before, that Jesus' sacrifical death shows that his love for us has no bounds or limitations. You are precious to our Lord, I'll prove it:

-He became a curse for us (Gal3:14)

-Even though he was Holy and without blemish, he died for us becoming unrightousness for our sakes. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

-though he was rich he became poor so that we might recieve a heavenly inheritance. (2 cor 8:9)

-Even though, he never did anything wrong, he became sin and sickness itself for YOU. (Isaiah 53:34)

"God shows his love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)

His love for us was so strong that he took our punishment upon himself. Because of what he's done, we have not only been justified, but glorified!

If you wish, to add to this discussion'think and share one way God has shown you his love.

I'll go first... I know God loves me, because even when i gave up on myself, he never gave up on me.

Peace be with ya.

Genesis 6:6
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Even though we disappointed Him so many times, He set up a covenant where if we believe in Him and follow his commandments written in our hearts, He would remember our sins no more.

I don't think people understand how much God hates sin. What He's done for shows His mercy and love.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We were once enemies through sin:
Romans 5:10

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

He gives us His Spirit:
Ezekiel 36
26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

I can say the same thing johenah1633. I gave up on myself many times but He didn't.

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
