  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

14 I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
15 but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated[13][Or justified ] in[14][Or by ] the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded[9][Or alienated ] from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier[12][Lit the dividing wall of the barrier ] of the dividing wall,

17 AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;

1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;
2 He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.
3 For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.
4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
5 Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;
6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

HEB 2

1 For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.

2 For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable[2][Or steadfast ], and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty,
3 how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,
4 God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles[5][Or works of power ] and by gifts[6][Lit distributions ] of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

19 "So, King Agrippa, I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision,
20 but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.
21 "For this reason some Jews seized me in the temple and tried to put me to death.
22 "So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place;
23 that the[13][I.e. the Messiah] Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."

Yes.
And every "house" has a master, a head, a chief, a beginning.

The old man is a house, and all we who are of Adam are of the 'household of Adam'.
Then, in our individual separated families, we may be of the household of Smith, or Jones, or Watson -but all 'of Adam'; and all of us who are born again, of the "Son of God", whose we are by being joined to Him in Spirit; are collectively, the New Man; and Jesus is Head, Chief, Firstborn, Everlasting Father [as to His human body of the New Creation], -and so on and so forth.
.

All we who are born again into the New Man are of the household of Christ.

This bears repeating. Wonderful work, Jeff. This is outstanding. I'm saving this for future reference. :thumbsup:

Quote Henry H Halley- 1924

Jesus, a master workman, is preparing the Heavenley palace for the glorious day when he will recieve his bride, the elect of all ages, unto himself. But the Bride also needs to be made ready. The Church must be gathered, nurtured, and perfected, to be made fit for the mansions of God. The people as well as the place must be prepared.
As Jesus departs to make ready the eternal home, he promises to send the Holy Spirit to train, comfort, and lead the saints on the homeward way

My daughter had a dream of me dying [happily] once, and she said I departed with "Bye! -My story's finished".
We all write our own story, verse by verse, chapter by chapter, day by day, while we live in these bodies, and we all get rewarded for the deeds done in our bodies while we have our "being" -while we dwell in our bodies on this earth.

The righteous get all the bad deeds blotted out -the total remission of all sins, by repentence and 'calling' on the name of the LORD for salvation.

The bad get all the good blotted out and account for all the bad deeds done in their bodies when they stand before the Judge in the appointed day of judgment.

They will not be sent into the "everlasting fire =the second death, for our father Adam's transgression, which caused the first death of separation from the Father's glory indwelling; because Jesus' atonement covered that transgression, and put away the remembrance of it for our race-= but they will account for their own deeds done in their own bodies while they lived in them -if they die in an unrepentent state: and then they will suffer the second eternal death forever;
which second death is of complete separation from the Triune God; for they will have no regeneration =new birth, by His Living Spirit, therefore no power to be sons of God, and therefore no glory of the Father's indwelling Presence.

jeffweeder; I'm not surprised, I have 3 children also---AND A WIFE:sorry: :o

Pro 18:22 [Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing], and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

On the business of the Church and the bride:
All things written are patterns, types, foreshadowings of heavenly truth; and when "Ish"s bone [the first, the husbandman of earth, in Adam] [with flesh] was taken from his side and the "Ishyah" [his bride] was formed and presented to him, Adam said "this is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh" -and called her name "Eve", for she was "[the] mother of [the] living": literally, she was to mother all the living "seed", which at the time of creation were to come forth as the sons of God for the Father's "house" of habitation for His glory, to fill the earth with sons for that purpose, to inhabit forever as their dominion.

Eve mothered no "living" sons of God, for we all died in Adam.
But the seed multiplied, nevertheless, by command, and all seed which was to multiply, in Adam, were "called" [named], in Adam, from the beginning, to be human sons of God to fill this dominion and inherit it forever. -I have Scripture for all this.

The New "Ish" created to be "husbandman" for earth, to bring the sons "to glory" [for the Father's indwelling in the regeneration of the heavens and earth] also has an "ishyah", and her name is the "Church", and she "mothers the living" seed, born of Christ's Spirit, who are the "godly seed", the 'sons of God", YHWH wanted, but are now adopted from the dead Adam's multiplied seed, into the Living Son's Spirit, who will be raised up to inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the beginning -but in the New Man.

"Ish" -Husbandman [New Man body], is what YHWH put on the "garments of vengeance" to come in flesh as Kinsman to Adam, in [Isaiah 59], to bring the earth's seed -the lost dead ruined former godly seed- back to the Father, for His glory to fill in the regeneration -restoration, return, of this earth to it's purpose and glory.

He has patience to wait for the number to be complete, of the sons of God which are "his house", for His indwelling, to be completed.
-And all but the Firstborn, Jesus Christ, are adopted from Adam.
He, Himself, has come in Kinsman flesh, to Ransom us back for the glory we were to have as "sons of God" in the beginning.

Malachi 2:15

Imagine what it will be like to be sons of God and shine with the glory of the Father -and more glory than Adam had and lost, for Adam was a living soul, crowned with the glory, but the New Man is the Living Spirit, whose the glory is!

Our inheritance in Chirst the Living Spirit, whose we are, by being joined to His Spirit =made one with Him [whose New Man name is Israel, and we will be Israel, in His own bodily image when we receive our bodies made in His likeness] will be more glorious than we were to have in Adam.
The lesson for that is in Haggai chapter 2, prophetically spoken of as the first house and the latter house, fulfilled only in the temples not made with hands.

If this seems rambling to you -anyone- ask for Scriptures to clarify.

In the Old Testament -and throughout history- the word house was used to signify the lineage of a man [those who were born of him] or that which a man dwelt in. It also could include all his servants born in his house and all his boughten slaves.
It can also be used to represent a group of one thing, as in congress, the legislative house.

Body is also,
5. group: an organized group of individuals, such as lawmakers, students, or soldiers
a legislative body

6. collection: a collection or amount of something, seen as a whole
a body of evidence

Encarta ® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2004 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

house;
10. or house or Housepolitics legislative group: a legislative group in a government or the place where it meets
11. family line: a family line, including ancestors and descendants, especially a royal family

Encarta ® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2004 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

In the case of Israel being the house of Israel, they were the lineage of Israel -His name was 'in' them and they were 'in' His name; if we are the house of God, we must have his name 'in' us and we must be 'in' Him.
This can only happen by our being adopted into His New Man name, which is the New Birth, for His Living Spirit [Christ] is then in us, and we are Christians or Messianics.
At the resurrection of the body, we will then have Israel New Man bodies -and we won't be 'in Adam' anymore, but 'in' Israel.

As far as I can see, it is only the blood of the begotton , that can acheive remission of sin for me.
And to my shame, as long as i'm in this body, it's going to have to be for all time, as i'm a sinner.

"Amazing Grace how sweet the sound"

I pray that i be sanctified-knowing that i'm justified, by his precious blood. I strive on toward the goal of true sanctification, and this by the recieving of Holy Spirit, given to all who believe in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST-OF Nazerath,- the final portriat being, Jesus Christ being formed in you, The Image of God

Once again, the basic truth of mere Christianity. No doctrine or dogma can argue against it. AMEN!!!
