When you say "many" in relation to a group, it usually means a significant number of that group. True...significant is subjective, but I think there is a general range. Would you say 1% is "many?" Or 2%?

Absolutely...discussions and debates tend to move. If you bring up a point, there is usually a counterpoint. If you bring up the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis, then I'd say it's entirely relevant to bring up the fact that you said "many Christians," when in fact those groups are fringe minorities.

I was disturbed by the clips I saw and I'd really love to believe this is just a small minority. I worry though because my own daughter went to a bible camp 3 years ago with a fairly liberal non denominational church group. One of the speakers they brought in spoke about relationships (mostly how teenagers shouldn't have them leading to a rash of post-camp breakups, lol) and roles. At one point he actually brought a broom up on the platform with him and told the girls that was their role, like it or not. She also said that even at her age, knowing what she knew, by the 3rd day there she actually found herself agreeing with what was being taught like everyone else seemed to be doing. Fortunately, after the broom incident, she decided to stop going to the services, hid out in her cabin the rest of the week and never attended a church function again.

This is probably the most frustrating and exasperating part of this film for me. This is the conclusion people are coming to when they see the trailer, and I have to say that if I was not a believer in Christ and I saw nothing but the trailer, I would probably come away with the same impression.


There's a clip in the trailer that shows me with my arms raised up and I'm shouting, "This means war!" That came during a prayer time at the end of one of our services where I spoke on the battle we wage against sin and temptation we fight on a daily basis. We had spoken about the challenges of keeping our minds and our hearts pure in a world that throws all kinds of mental and visual trash at us all the time. But out of context it could be taken to mean anything!
