  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God won't destroy the earth with water again, how about fire?

I was kind of hoping for bunnies. But yeah...

2 Peter 3:10

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

It is already set to happen in the nature that has been created, no extra intervention required to fulfill that scripture, just time.
(which is not to say that this is how it will eventually go down, just that, if nothing extra was done, this does eventually happen)

That has nothing to do with this age, that will not happen till after the tribulation. To cleanse the earth from satan's effect. I personally believe that is where the earth (land) will be restored back to the single piece of land (earth), like it was in Genesis and before the flood.
