• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God, why does he exist?

You ask a good question and it's not easy to answer. We know from scripture that He always did exist, and always will exist. The only reason I can think that He exists is that He is God. So you see it's a hard question to answer. I don't think there's a special reason of why He exists. He is the great I Am. The Alpha the Omega, the First and the Last.

Maybe you have more questions related to this and it will come out as we talk back and forth, but I hope you get some good answers here. Take care, Tapero

Too explain how God became existant is long but if you insist.

Nothingness or void has the ability to compress itself into negativity.Basically its like if there is nothing on your bank account, you can still go into debt right? So by pulling nothingness into negativity blackholes are created, from these blackholes when a treshold is reached an overflow reaction(like a bucked can only have so much water in it before flushing) will happen from which positive energy can be derived.

This energy became consious at one moment and this is what we refer to as God. God = the universe. And all the stars, the planets and what lives on it represents his life.

Therefore there is no point to life, other then what point you assign to life yourself. That this is true can be proven by the fact that if you didn't exist there would be no problem to begin with, the same would count for God himself, I can proove the other above things also but what happend is that God does have a plan for all of us. Because being here on earth is for our spirits to learn, love and help others and become stronger then we where before.

There is a reason why God became existant, but there is no reason for him to exist.

Theer is no real point to that question. We cannot answer of behalf of God!

The more important question is why do we, and the rest of the universe exist? Is it by chance, in which case wwe don't need the concept of a god, or was it created? If the latter, then our existence is consequent on God who exists outside of all our frames of reference, (time, space, etc). Why he exists is never the question. Only something preexistent could create something else such as the universe.

I am interested in why you feel that there has to be a reason. Is there a reason for everything?

:)

Perhaps you can answer it with Christ. What was the point of Christ, and why was he here?

If you would know the Lord's meaning in this thing, know it well. Love was his meaning. St Julian of Norwich.

Maybe that is why God is here too.

On a more personal note, sometimes if we are feeling anxious, and do not know why, we search for something to be anxious about, and then think that is the cause of our anxiety, when often it is not. If you are feeling what you think to be abnormal amounts of anxiety, then I would find someone to talk to; maybe a doctor, a teacher or a minister. It may be that there are underlying reasons for your anxiety, which can be sorted.

I do not know you, and this may be very presumptuous of me, but I suspect your question is more personal than you realise. I suspect it has more to do with your searching for your own reason for being, than for that of the Almighty. This is a good and honourable question to pursue, at any age.

I wish you well.
