I was asking how much evidence you want, and if you would even read it. No point in wasting my time to seek out links you'll never click on.

Hmmmm.....was there evidence somewhere in your response? I think I may have missed it.

Don't mess with me. All I am asking is if you honestly think any amount of evidence would convince you. Self-reflect on who you are as a person, and tell me if you would ever change your mind.

And don't mess with me. Now, once more, what is the MAIN reason young people (or anyone for that matter) leave the church?

Since being antagonistic toward science is one of the main reasons cited for young people leaving the church, could it not be that you are the one being used as a tool by Satan?

Just
Prove it. Prove that being antagonistic toward science is one of the MAIN reasons for young people leaving the church.

I have posted this a number of times but since you are not into reading comprehension, I can see where you might have missed it.

So I repeat:

Reason #1 – Churches seem overprotective.
Reason #2 – Teens’ and twentysomethings’ experience of Christianity is shallow.
Reason #3 – Churches come across as antagonistic to science
Reason #4 – Young Christians’ church experiences related to sexuality are often simplistic, judgmental.
Reason #5 – They wrestle with the exclusive nature of Christianity.
Reason #6 – The church feels unfriendly to those who doubt.

Discussion of this https://www.barna.org/teens-next-gen-articles/528-six-reasons-young-christians-leave-church

I very much suspect you will reject and pay no attention to this but that is not my problem, it is yours.

Oh, it is usually related to academic and political narrow-mindedness. You'd be amazed how many people my age lose their faith at college, where their parents can no longer limit what sorts of ideas they are exposed to. It also tends to produce the worst sort of atheist: young, angry anti-theists. I nearly became one myself. Thankfully, one philosophy related class later, I was able to understand that other people have their philosophical perspectives and I have mine, and it doesn't have to be about a competition between right or wrong.

But those are just people I have spoken to, it seems others have posted some links for you to look at.

Boy talking about moving the goalposts!

When given evidence that antagonism toward science is "one" of the main reasons young people are leaving the church you immediately changed it to demanding that it be proved that is "the" main reason.

Either it is your well known reading comprehension problem or you are being egregiously dishonest and a bit cowardly I would have to say.

If it is being dishonest, then you might think of the impact you may be having being dishonest in the name of Christ. Bit of a mixed message wouldn't you think?

Oh, I've seen this before. While it may be one reason that young people leave church, it's certainly not the main reason. The link you gave would support this.

"Reason #3 – Churches come across as antagonistic to science.
One of the reasons young adults feel disconnected from church or from faith is the tension they feel between Christianity and science. The most common of the perceptions in this arena is “Christians are too confident they know all the answers” (35%). Three out of ten young adults with a Christian background feel that “churches are out of step with the scientific world we live in” (29%). Another one-quarter embrace the perception that “Christianity is anti-science” (25%). And nearly the same proportion (23%) said they have “been turned off by the creation-versus-evolution debate.” Furthermore, the research shows that many science-minded young Christians are struggling to find ways of staying faithful to their beliefs and to their professional calling in science-related industries."

And I would think, church's being "over protective" would also relate to trying to protect people against science knowledge, wouldn't it?

Bottom line, numerous polls state the same main reasons young people are leaving the church. Of course some are going to hand wave this away, because they know better than the people leaving, what the real reasons are, right?

The mixed message of accepting Christ while also accepting the worldview which rejects God as creator would be a mixed message, wouldn't you think?

There is one reason and one reason only that young people, or anyone for that matter, leaves church. They choose Godlessness over Godliness.

It's really not complicated.

Again reading comprehension? Where on earth did I say anything about it being "the main" reason? I carefully said it was "one" of the main reasons.

You tend to make up what people say and then argue against it. Basically you are arguing with yourself. Puzzling but it is what you do.

How dare you actually provide what you claimed and what he asked for.

Who would do such a thing?

Well, leaving a church and losing faith are not entirely the same thing mind you.

How many "main reasons" are there? 5? 10? 100?

One of the main reasons would be that young folks don't like a style of music. Another main reason would be that young folks don't like long services.

There are myriads of 'main reasons'.

As I predicted, you reject the research without thought. Epistemological Nihilism at its finest.
