God or coincedence?

OK so I'm not quite sure if this is the right forum for this..but it's for questions from newbies, and I'm sure new! I was leaving work today to go to Goodwill to do some shopping and there was a 20 something girl standing at the edge of the parking lot with a sign asking for money. I never give money to homeless people, I'm poor myself, but I've been trying to get into the Christian spirit of giving money to the poor. So as I was waiting in my car I decided to give her some money. Honestly it was her dog that pulled me over the edge..I couldnt' live with myself if she couldn't afford to feed her dog! Anyway so I gave her 3 bucks (hey, I'm poor!). So afterwards I felt pretty good about myself. Anyway so I go off to Goodwill and find some clothes and buy it and later discover the cashier rang me up wrong and saved me about $3! Which of course put me in a great mood (I love saving money). Soo..dumb question but..anyone think this is a little good karma coming back my way b/c I gave the homeless girl some money? I know, it's not literally karma. But you know, God helping me out cause I helped her out? Ah who knows but it made my day! And I must say I felt very good helping her out Even before I saved $3 at Goodwill!

Does sound like God I used to ask that question a lot myself, when something weird and wonderful happened, like in response to prayer. I could picture God saying "How many times will it take, child? I'm here!"

Hehe yeah I feel almost dumb thinking it could be that..I mean..what I did was very small and insignificant. And of course my whole life I woulda thought it was coincedence..I NEVER would have thought it was God. But I just had all sorts of good luck that day (other than the Goodwill thing) so it was like God was watching out for me

yea,the same things happen to me,my mama had a horrible throat cold,and since she knew i was in a strong,deep relation with MASTER GOD,SO SHE ASKED ME TO PRAY FOR HER,and seconds later,she was healed! and another thing i know it's not coincedence,i asked GOD to put me in a new and better school,i preached the word to several people at my current school,but then they turned their backs on GOD(SO TYPICAL) and didnt believ in fasting,so,when i was ready to get into the I.D.E.A.L charter school,teens have been setting fires at the same school,over and over,i know thats satan trying to keep me from going there,but i'll get there,because he MAY BE ABLE TO DELAY GOD'S WILL,BUT HE CANT STOP IT!

We never give money to people outright, but if they are hungry, and begging for money - we take them into the nearest restaurant, order the food they want, pay for it, and let them eat in peace. We have had many sincere thank yous. We have also had some that seemed disgusted they didn't get the money. So be it. I don't want them buying booze or drugs with the money we give them.

That is a good idea Topaz..but I didn't have the time to take someone to a restaurant. Besides, they might have needed gas money or something (they said they were traveling through). I'd just rather hand them some money and let them do what they want with it.
