God of War II

Anybody played it??

I'd been after it for a while, and finally got it... It's AWESOME.

If you haven't played the first one, I'd definitely recommend doing that first, considering the storylines are linked. The first one is Amazing as well.

What do you guys think about it?

Kratos kills Athena

Athena is my patron goddess, also, the gods are gods and as such, cannot die.

Im not against the game, if someone wants to play it, go right ahead. I just..dont want to play something that will anger a goddess that has been so good to me.

and i can understand Steezie's viewpoint, most christians wouldn't like a game where the protagonist kills God

God of War is also for the PC if I'm not mistaken, I had heard talk of it being released on PC.

Lots of unsavory aspects, but it's still an excellent game.

This game is amazing. I was invited over to a friends house to play. I wish they would release it on XBox. I'm not a fan of PS2.

Can anyone recommend any XBox games that are similar in quality, graphics, and style?

GoW is made by Sony, and as a result will only be released on Sony systems (namely, PlayStations).

Unfortunately, the only solid Xbox games I've really seen are Ghost Recon 2, Halo (less so), and Phantom Dust. But none of them come close to GoW. Or Devil May Cry, for that matter. But DMC4 is coming to 360 as well.

It was just odd hearing that, considering what I'm used to hearing on this forum.

I assume there'll be no media frenzy about what Steezie mentioned (in the spoiler thing). It goes to show... something. How oblivious we all are to beliefs that aren't mainstream.

I have to admit, I do see her point. I just don't believe in her gods, but I respect her right to do so. She's not speaking really against the game, more just saying that she chooses not to play it as she feels that it would be in violation of her faith.

Honestly though, I think the game rocks hard. So very very hard.

I doubt there would ever be a game made about that, considering how it would probably be thought of as in bad taste.

And if there was, I probably would have no interest in it.

If I did play it however, yes, it's just a game.

True, Im just not comfortable with doing something that would probably be horribly disrespectful to a goddess I worship. If you want to play it, go ahead. I just stay away from the whole God of War series.
