I'm not saying I am a prophet. I've been called one before, but I don't have anything new to say. My friend says I should still claim I am a prophet because I say the Good News Bible is a good translation. My friend says,"Because I point to the Bible as where the prophecy is that I am in a way a prophet myself." I have nothing new to say though. I just know God is real for a fact.

Here is my story:
Aug 21,2003 God spoke to me,"Good News" then my dad handed me a Good News Bible.

So what should I do with this? I have an unshakable belief in Jesus. My local church has no guidance for what I should do with my life. All I want to be is a messenger of Good News of Jesus! I sent out over a million emails to people telling them I know God is real for a fact. I am a computer programmer, but no one wants to hire me. I figure if I get a job that I can use the money to further spread the Good News of Jesus. But its been 7 years and I only had one job programming since I got out of college.

Do you have any idea of what I should do?

I perfectly know God is real! Some people may believe so hard that it comes near to the point of knowing, but I personally *KNOW* Jesus is LORD. I feel like I have a unique gift, and I am willing to work for God. I want to spend 16 hour days to spreading the Word of God. I just don't have anyone telling me what I should be doing.

There's a forum for dreams and visions where these things are discussed.

Maybe prophetic ministry forum, don't know.

I have had gifts all of my life for these things. I have known many others who have as well. You could call it an international conspiracy.

You ever see 'unbreakable'? They present a theory first really elucidated by Jung, then a guy named Joseph Campbell... basically about how there is truth behind our "myths", our songs, our stories. This is true. You think these things come from nowhere?

There is a lot beneath the surface of modern, free, Christian society... it is encased in great "clouds" which hide the light.

Prophets jobs are to edify the Church. How they work and how that works is completely varied to *what one can believe*.

There is much mystery in the Christian Church and much hidden functions people do not understand.

I think you may be interested in looking up Tom Deckard's ministry. I would strongly caution you to look at a fair bit of his information before attending his meetings. He gets a lot of people who come to him that tell them they are prophets, and you don;t want to be in that situation. It is amazing to be around him, because when he is heavily annointed he can see into your heart. You certainly want to be asking Gods forgiveness for sins before attending his meetings. Needless to say his meetings are powerful! '

You always walk away feeling full on power to do great things for YHWH!

Did you know you can lay upon you curses from simply saying "God said this......"

You have to be very careful about what you are saying about what God said.

Why you might be interested in looking at his material is he walks you through his 31 year ministry from the beginning. He goes through this on his Visions of America's Judgement. He has 31 years of no miss prophecy, did you know?

He is travelling around the nation right now, and you can attend his services for FREE! He is also setting up small study groups around the nation that dives into the bible.

What is really interesting is that he has been around the world pronouncing judgment on different nations. Here is the most interesting thing. As he prolaims the judgment, he gives them a sign in the next day, something that man cannot produce. A true Prophet should be able to do this.

He sees open visions, where everything is very real that he see's like your computer screen. It is not a dream. God asks him what he see's, so he gets it correct. You will have to listen to some of his material. He has a radio program where you can listen to his archives. Blog talk radio- House of Ephraim

He has raised three people from the dead in Jesus's name. The Lord God heals the blind, the deaf, the lame and those with terminal cancer through Tom Deckard. In one crusade in Africa alone, hundreds of people were healed from AIDS and went back to the doctor and were medically certified as having been healed. He has even seen three people raised from the dead during the course of his ministry.

Not only are the amount of prophecies that have already come to pass are pretty amazing, ......... BUT, he is also warning about horrific devastation to come to the United States of America as a result of the piled up sins this nation has comitted. These are prophecies that you need to hear. You can You tube his name Tom Deckard there is three videos up there. He is a prophet who first speaks judgment and gives the remedy to a nation who is willing to repent. Like I said, he is able to speak the word of God, and produce a sign that accompanies it. He has been 100% accurate, as well, he has been able to have incredible healings in Jesus's name.

Check him out!

Not only that, he is gathering up the lost tribes of Israel. He is seeking out Ephraim.

It is pretty amazing!

Check out his info!

I hate to tell you this but the age of prophets has passed.

hey, PG, when did you become a Baptist? wow.....

James, I was just thinking today about what I would start with if I were to teach a class for people who believe they are called to be a prophet or to prophesy...... so I find it interesting to run across your post here.

I think one of the first things an erstwhile prophetic person should learn is about the character of God, and the fruits of the Spirit. One of the biggest potential pitfalls for them is pride, so I'd start with meekness and knowing what is and what is not the place of the prophet in the Kingdom of God.

It's crucial that if you are to be a spokesman for God in any sense, you need to have your senses trained to discern good from evil, and be able to extract the precious and holy from the worthless and vile.

I'm concerned about your denominational affiliation - with all due respect to Oscarr, may his CF character rest in peace, the Presbyterian church is probably not the most fertile ground in which to grow a revelatory gifting..... maybe if you were to visit some other kinds of churches, evangelical, Bible, and charismatic churches - and see if you can find one that fits more with your gift set and calling......

All of that said, if you want to spend all of your time working to advance the gospel, you should probably consider becoming a missionary. Your computer skills would be valuable on the field, for one thing!

Submit totally and completely to God, in any and all circumstances. Let Him clease you, prepare you and place you where He wants you to serve. He has ministries so bizarre the human mind cannot fathom. I know. :)

Hah, hah, how true that last line.

(And that before it, but I am not sure where the poster is spiritually... )
