God is Light

God wants to do great things in us, but He needs us to completely submit to Him, to be willing to obey Him completely in everything because remember... 1 John 1:5 ... that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. The problem is if we wont allow God 100% access to us He cannot remove all darkness from our lives, He desperately wants our permission to transform our lives to be acceptable to Him. The standards of God are impossibly high but take heart because He will help us reach a standard that is Humanly impossible to reach it can only be reached by faith. Phil 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. Take heart God will give us the power to accomplish. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: See He gives us the power.

Now if we slip don't let go, we have lost a battle, not the war! As long as we stay in a mindset that we are willing to let God do this great work in us, and we are willing to be created and molded into a faithful, willing and obedient servant victory is always ours and Christ stands before the Father as our advocate.

Above all remember this 1 Pet 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Do not foolishly hold onto darkness, our own nature craves darkness because that is our natural fallen state. We like to fool ourselves into imagining that because we can look at gross wickedness and say we are not a part of that we must be full of light, to pretend just enough to make us have an outward appearance of light. Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it? We cannot trust our own judgement, our own thoughts our own feelilngs.

Fill your mind with the word of God spend quality time there! Spend a good quantity of time there!

Ps 119:105 Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
2 Tim 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
