Just sharing a praise report. My church called me and said they had a freezer full of stuff they need a place for. I came home with a trunk stuffed to the brim with frozen foods! I live next to a women's shelter, so I got to play Santa and give away all we couldn't fit in our freezer. The Lord is good! Just this morning, I was facing 3 wks. with no pay and no idea where the Lord would find a way this time. Not only did this happen, but I go to the Post Office and find a surprise check from the Homeschool Widows' Curriculum scholarship for Christmas for my girls. I had no idea they were sending anything and never even asked them to. I am just a small donor to their curriculum program for widows and widowers. What a blessing!!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The blessings have continued, by the way. A good friend of mine has sent us money for Christmas. I never asked or anything, it just showed up! I got a check from a utility company who I didn't even know owed me anything. My student loans are finally taken care of now, praise God! And, even my mother---who never sends me anything----just sent me $20 just because God told her to do so, she says. He is really being wonderful to my family. Thank you all so much for praying for us. I think we just might end up getting the car fixed at this rate.
