  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I went to a Campus Crusade for Christ event in Florida, we all watched a missions video. The video had a man on there who had gone on a trip to Russia. Initially he relied on his translator to get the Christian message out, but one day he felt he'd learned enough Russian to get by and went out witnessing by himself.

He met a man who seemed receptive and so he talked with him. He did well until he told the man that God was holy. The man looked at him strangely and asked him several times to confirm his statement that God was holy. The witness did so, and then tried to move on to other things.

When the witness got home that night, the first thing he did was ask the translator what had happened. The translator laughed and told him that he had said to the man not, "God is holy," but "God is a turtle."
