  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Cherub Ram...

In my view the creation is a continuous process..

Is that because of what evolutionists said? Or you have some other arguments to support that? Why not get creation finished and let everything run as created?

How can you say He has no form when we are created in His image?

"At Sinai, you saw no shape or form, you heard a voice."

Created in in His image,
We have been given a sense of morality, free will and the ability to reason.

Yeah it can seem so that He plays hide and seek.

So, there was a little boy found crying,
his grandpa came by and asked why he was crying.

The boy told him that he and Jimmy were playing hide and seek,
and he could not find him,
grandpa asked, "But is that not the whole point?"

Thanks for your post Juven!

Baha'is believe creation is an ongoing process ... has no beginning or ending.. It is more an emanation from the Creator.. God doesn't cease creating.

"The Creator always had a creation; the rays have always shone and gleamed from the reality of the sun, for without the rays the sun would be opaque darkness. The names and attributes of God require the existence of beings, and the Eternal Bounty does not cease."

(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 281)

also..

"...the individual realities of mankind when spiritually born are emanations from the reality of divinity, just as the flame, heat and light of the sun are the effulgence of the sun and not a part of the sun itself. Therefore a spirit has emanated from the reality of divinity, and its effulgences have become visible in human entities or realities."

(Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 261)

Are you confused on the constant "existence" of God by the idea of constant "creation" of God? What does God create today? What will God create tomorrow?

Well thanks again for your post Juven...

Looking into my beliefs Juven I really don't have much "confusion" about the "constant existence of God"... It's my belief that God as creator is continuing... there are new creations daily and nightly as well as new creations to morrow. Cosmically the creation process continues..

How about you?

Rain today make veggies grow tomorrow is NOT an example of God's creation.
A baby is born today is NOT an example of God's creation.
A new star formed somewhere in the universe is NOT an example of God's creation either.

May I ask you to give me an example of God's creation which is happening today?
Or more fundamentally, could you give a definition to a God's creation?

"Thou art formless; your only form is our knowledge of You." Lines from the Hindu Scriptures, older than any word of the Bible, which appears to encourage the thought that "the heathen in his blindness bows down to wood and stone".

Oh dear!
Hi Fizzy!!! Welcome back! It's great to see you again!!

I've been called a "Heathen" any number of times. And I've come to the point where I wear the label proudly. I've ran head on where to an outsider it may appear that the Heathen is bowing down to wood and stone when actually what they are doing is bowing to the formless One they find when looking through the form.

could you give a definition to a God's creation?

Once again Juven thanks for your posts!

Creation for me Juven was best described as follows:

"Creation is an emanation from the creator. It is impossible that the eternal should become limited. A tree never becomes a creature: it never acquires sight nor smell; yet both are creations of God - creations in emanation.
Creation is like the sunlight; God is the sun."

~ Abdu'l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 107

Another expression of the topic can be found in the words below:

The One is not all things, but before all things. Emanation is the process by which all things are derived from the One. The infinite goodness and perfection "overflows", and, while remaining within itself and losing nothing of its own perfection, it generates other beings, sending them forth from its own superabundance. Or again, as brightness is produced by the rays of the sun so everything is a radiation (perilampsis) from the Infinite Light...

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Emanationism

But my primary objection on this thread is that God does not "evolve".

So, to you, every process is a creation.
If so, how do you call the beginning of a process and the end of a process? How do you relate these two terms to the word creation?
