What reasons were there for Jesus to have children? You make it sound like it is some default thing to do, and celibacy is unusual.

Full time ministry with NO distractions !!

A spouse and children are great for most people, but the Father clearly calls some to not have this extra responsibility.... so they can focus 100% to the ministry.

Of course, Jesus is God....
so not exactly the best example of my point,
but I think U get the point?

Well, you COULD look at it Jesus wasnt alone His Father was with him right?

Me. (and a slew of church ladies)

Thing is if one of us gets sick, he doesn't have to stay home and take care of us. He still gets to tend to the flock. (which might include sick calls)

Thing is, his unmarried state is mirrored by our Lords.

I don't know. He seemed like such a nice boy & all even though He was from Nazareth And the Him being God thing would be a freak out for most girls you would think, never mind the stress it would put on Him.
I didn't become a musician so I could have a family, bein' a Messiah might keep ya on the road for long periods not to mention the heat it would draw from the PTB (Powers That Be). I think He knew He wouldn't live long enough to see boy's bar-mitzvah.
That's one way to look at it anyway.

In regards to Jesus, one could speculate, but there wasnt too much time to marry let alone he wasnt minded toward it anyway knowing He had come to endure the cross, and it was a short work. He was going to die for the sins of the world. Unlike us he wasnt of this world like we are.

Its like comparing oranges with apples here a bit dont you think?
