I'm almost sure that this topic doesn't belong here coz it's nothing musical, but I didn't see any better altaernative to this. Any suggestions will be appreciated :)

This is somethg I thought about last nite while doing dishes...lol just had to say that. I remembered a comment my cousin once made after I reacted to something that happened. I happened to say something that my best freind usually says and so my cousin went something like, I spent alot of time with my best friend. Don't know whether this is making any sense.

I thought about this, and I realised that, we can get God's character by spending time with Him. The more time we spend with Him, the more we become like Him. And that it would take someone that spends time with God, to recognise someone else that spends time with God. Coz you'd see something in that person that you have seen in God.

Guess all I'm saying is that, it takes a God chaser to know another God chaser.

Lets not cease from seeking God. And may our prayer be that our hearts would follow hard after God. That we would thirst and hunger for Him all day and not dare get enough of Him.

To all God chasers, be blessed:)

Im not a God chaser.... The day I met Jesus, the chasing stopped...now He lives in my heart. I just say "God" and he is there....

I know what you mean is good...but dont exuast yourself. Enter boldly into the Holy of Holys by the Blood of Jesus.... the working or chasing stopped. You are now seated in Heavenly places with Him.... enter in, dont chase or strive in.... He is right there next to you or should I say in you....rather than "out there" like some people think....

God Bless, Heals, restores, completes...

I gotta agree with Hagios here. "God chaser" implies that God is elusive, and we must find him. However, it is probably more appropriate to think that we are chased by God, as he desires to bring all his children back to his kingdom.

Ok here's the deal with that, here's a quote from the Newsboys song Beautiful Sound: "I won't stop now that I'm free, I'll be chasing You like You chased me"

God made the first move towards us. We were just wondering around in the dark before God stepped in and saved the day. We couldn't even see or know God until we stepped into His light. Romans 5:6

Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn't been so weak, we wouldn't have known what to do anyway.

So now it begins.. the race, the journey... life starts when we invite God into our hearts & lives ...that's just the starting line.
Phillipians 3:12-14

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward--to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

I like the phrase God-chasers, it reminds alot of the way David would talk to God in the Psalms. "How long will you hide your face from me?" -a famously repeated quote David used many times in the Psalms.
Besides that the Bible does talk alot about seeking God ..seeking His face, His will.. just seeking to know Him more.
I like Irocc's view on this one.

So, there's a few extra thoughts on that one. Enjoy,

I would suggest readin the book "God Chasers"
it is VERY VERY powerful, and it is all about that. scripturally backed and everythin... very powerful... makes you want to chase after God with all your heart.
I dunno...when I started to read that book (I think we're talking about the same one), it struck me that something was wrong about it. I never went back and examined exactly what, but something laid on my heart kept me from reading more.

Kinda the same feeling I get when I read The Purpose Driven Life. A lot of good intent, but it's focus is a bit off center.

This reminds me of this verse in Psalms where David told God that his heart would follow hard after God.
It's not enough just being born again, I believe there's more to salvation than just saying "Lord come into my heart". And just like someone has already said, it's like that's where you actually begin the search.
Yes you've found Him, but you've gotta seek to know Him.
Guess that's what my point really was.

I also have this great desire to worship God

I have read the book all the way through and for me it stired up and excitement and passion for God and his presence in my life more each day.

I dont know how it could have done that to you..have you considered reading again prayerfully? And allowing God to speak to you about it?
