See, that is my thought. Things are the way they are because He has made them that way from the beginning for sure, but had He decided otherwise, things could just as easily be completely different and work in a wholly different way.

Because it is mathematically impossible. Just to be safer I'll say that God cannot check-mate me with less than 2 moves in a game of traditional chess.

When I say 2 moves I mean a grand total of 2 moves. This is within the rules of the game of course. God works outside the rules of creation in which he created. And I'm sure playing chess it not what Jesus was talking about when he said all things are possible with God. I'm not disagreeing with what Jesus said. A check-mate in 2 moves or less in a traditional game of chess is not simply impossible, but an absurdity. It is absurd because in order for it to occur, it has to break its own conditions. Likewise, there are things God cannot "do" because they are absurd; i.e. creating a rock so heavy He cannot lift it. These kinds of scenarios presuppose and assign traits to God which are not in His nature. So -- God cannot be imperfect because imperfection in God is absurd. God cannot create a rock so heavy He cannot lift it because a such a "creation" is an absurdity. God cannot check-make ToxicReboMan in 2 moves or less in a traditional game of chess because such a scenario is an absurdity.

Do you believe God could forgive and in the forgiveness arbitrarily reinstate Satan as Lucifer, the covering cherub? Also, what about the 1/3 of the angels who fell with him. Perhaps there are even a few who are now having second thoughts. Could they be re-instated as well? What would it take, if it were possible? Please keep in mind, they can never die which makes reconciliation the only thing could be considered if it could be possible, that is..

But it is. He has attributes that require adherence to, else how could we ever count on Him as being absolute in all His judgments? God NEVER changes. God can NEVER change. How do you know you are saved except you believe Him to be changeless. "I am God. I change not".

I don't think God changes, but I think we misunderstand Him alot. I think our understanding is what fails.... our interpretation of what He means and what He's doing... not Him... but once again, us.
