  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello! I'm Rose and I'm here looking for new friends in Christ while I restart my life. When the pandemic hit, I found myself out of a job and my apartment, and having to move in with my sister and essentially start all over. It's been tough, but my faith in the Lord remains unshaken! I know He will see all of us through! Just taking things one day at a time.

One Christian singer —I wish I could remember his name and the song name— says in his tune something along the lines of: "...took my money, took my family, took my confidence... ...yes, God's been good to me."

There's not much more beautiful than a heart that has lost confidence in this world and is looking only to Christ.

Pleased to meet you, too! And your reply actually reminds me of one of my favorite Gospel songs- "Kind God" by Marvin Sapp. It talks about how the struggles that come into our lives are actually a good thing because it's God's way of helping us grow.

"If the hurt is worth the price for all I've lost... How kind of God."

Welcome to Christian Forums, Rose. I'm sorry for the trials you have had to go through, but it is so encouraging to see your faith in the Lord. I will pray for you as you start over and take things one day at a time. You are right. God always sees His children through.
