God and War :)

Yeah, so I am off to basic training for the ARMY. I leave this tuesday. It has been good chatting with you all, despite our many differnces, it was very enlightening and is always good to run into other peoples opinions.

However, with this matter of me leaving being stated, I would like to know all of your opinions and thoughts about War, anything and everything. Wether it be about "just war" issues, killing and murdering, conquring, etc.

Please, speak your mind, you obviously know my stand point on the issue.

There are many examples of war in the Bible. I think anyone would have a tough case proving it to be wrong, its whats in your heart. War isn't wrong, but if you love killing or something...that would be different.

war is sometime nessessary in today realm since no one is righteous. And sometimes God uses the world system to do his will which is shown in the old testament with Israel vs Egpyt, Assryia, persians, and medes and persians

if called to serve one is told to do his duty to the world governments Romans 13:1-7

however war is a work of the flesh.....gal 5:19-21

we are told to love the brethren but not the world
Galtion 6:10, 1 john 2:15, john 13:34-35

so when we war as a country vs country is this killing other brethren? most likely so you pray about this...

remember when paul was killing believers and God made him blind what did he say?
