  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi! I am new to Christianity and my mind is fighting with many questions.
All my life I believed that there is intelligent life somewhere else in the universe. Recently I have heard one priest like he talks about the universe full with stars and galaxies as god’s creation. So, the thing that I don’t understand is: if we believe that God had created the universe as big as it is full with stars like our own sun, than why we can not believe, that maybe God had created life or even humans like us on some other planet around some other star?

Maybe God did.... but it isn't recorded anywhere in the messages God gave us. The Word that God gives us tells us that HE created the heavens and the earth and everything upon the earth.

And there are no "messages" from within the earth or from the heavens that tell us differently.... at least no messages with credibility.

Besides, sometimes I wonder if there is intelligent life "here".

There is no reason not to.

Nowhere in the Bible does it state that we are alone in the universe.

Did someone tell you that Christians cannot believe in life that did not originate on Earth?
