God ALWAYS answers Prayer - Yes, NO or wait

If God would always answer prayer it would be ridiculous - all christians would live happy ever after.

Actually the terminology Jesus used was "that your joy may be full".

That is not ridiculous... that is cool!


Joh 16:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

I believe the Lord Almighty gives us an answer to every single prayer.

It's just that sometimes it isn't the answer we asked for.

I have really been doing some studying and reading on prayer and agree with what you and DIDS say...I have also found several scriptures to support being persistant..persistance in prayer is also vital..pray..believe..and continue tp persust in praise until it is done...And yes God's timing comes in and we have to wait on the Lord, and we certainly have to battle satan cause he will throw every lie out there he possibly can to make you give up.

In your study of prayer, what evidence have you found that yes, no or wait is the only thing God wants to tell us? I get into this discussion because I said that God wanted to say so much more to us than yes, no or wait. So many famous biblical accounts come to mind. Take Paul where God said my grace is sufficient, more than just yes, no or wait. What about Moses when he said, I don't speak too good. God didn't say yes, no, or wait, He said, I will give you the words to speak. Let's talk about Abraham, if you find even 5 ritious will you spare the city, well, I guess if you pushed you could reduce that one to yes, no or wait, but there was much more going on. Jonah's answer was not yes, no, or wait, but go. A reading of Heb. 11 shows us that God has a lot more to say than yes, no, and wait. Notice post #2 and how I was viewed with distain for saying God has more to say to us. So show us in the word where all God has to say is yes, no or wait and the issue can be put to rest. I have shown you in scripture where God has more to say to His people and I have been told I am wrong but no one has shown proof in scripture where I am wrong, only a handful of passages taken out of context to make a point. I come back to this because I would like to believe as some here do that God is all about yes, no or wait, it makes God much less scary, but without scriptural evidence of such, it is not a teaching I can follow no matter how comfortable it is. Please show me where God only says yes, no or wait!!!!!!
