2 Chron 36:15 The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and therefore there was no remedy *against the judgement.*

Amos 5:19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.

Revelation 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

Hosea 13:8 Like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will attack them and rip them open; like a lion I will devour them—a wild animal will tear them apart.

Don’t think it has much to do with children other than raising them in the way that they should go.

"All the time"? I don't recall ever having interacted with you before now, so I don't know where this characterization is coming from.

What I meant was people in general can do that. Anything they see which offends their sensitivities they don't study to get context but merely state I don't believe that or it couldn't have occurred.

And I read your link. I greatly prefer my own tradition's way of looking at things as found in, e.g., Fr. Tadros Y. Malaty's Patristic Commentary series covering both the OT and NT when I want to know the historical bounds within which something has been understood in the Christian Church, but to each their own.

OK fine your choice. I do think though the contents in the article brings balance and perspective on how one should think about it putting Elishia in more of a positive light that there was other things one needs to understand about what occurred and why.
