  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Elisha says to the poor widow woman, who is in debt "What can I do for you"?
She says I need money to pay my debts. He says, GO and ASK for many vessels as you can.
She fills evey one with oil and sells it.
You may come to God as a poor weak person, with needs and many sorrows. God says What do you want? You may say ....what ever, but being a singles site you may say "A precious Spouse" God says GO and ASK people you trust to pray for you. But also He may say the very ANSWER to your need is within your grasp, even at the doors, how? The spouse wait for may be in your friends house. How we should look out for each others needs to.The widows need was in her friends houses (vessels) God did the rest by filling. The answer to our earthly needs may well be RIGHT NEXT DOOR to us. The lesson here is she got on and did what God told her through Elisha, she got involved in Gods plan to help her.
We need to get involved in Gods plan to provide us. The most obvious way is prayer but also getting stuck in to a local church. As we are working for Him & focusing on His pleasure He then will guide us to our dear needs.
She had to ASK God wants us to ASK and ASK from Him about these things.
God says You MUST ASK, I have said "You Dont have because you DONT ASK, if she only asked for a few vessels she would have soon been hungry again.
;)

The Lord does pay our debts on the cross when we should do it ourselves and if we ask the Lord to come into our hearts as our Savior & Lord, that is all we need as well as walk in the ways of Jesus no matter what our situations may be.

I think it is very important that we "we should look out for each others needs" as we are selves wait in Gods will. Too many people are so taken up by what they need or long for that they fail to see a blessing of a man / woman that could suit another person.
May we all look out for each other in Gods wisdom and guidance just as Elieazer did for Isaac

That is very intersting Jon. Maybe we could get some married couples or some close family memebers to be on the look out for us. They know us just as well as we know ourselves and they can also see past some of the things that we cannot.

Actually I am already. ive got young Christians in our church who pray for me regular and others who look out for me. I know that I am going to help others find / meet their spouse, i believe it is so important:)

Yeah I tried to help a friend in this area. The problem is I believe that he ended up marrying the wrong woman. We all tried to tell him that she wasn't any good for him while he was dateing her she cheated on him and now that they are married she is controlling him. I fear that my friend is going to get very hurt but from what I hear things are changeing for them. I wish them all the best and happyness in the world. We were always looking for eachother a mate problem was he found his then left me out.

Yes Joeman, it is lesson tp learn that we dont forsake our friends and God even when we have someone finally. I do see youngsters being so taken up by their "love" they aint got time for any one else

You are right Jon as we need to be friends despite our disagreeing with them marrying the wrong person.
