A Gmail invitation was sent to me, but I didn't get any to give out. How do I get them? Are they just randomly handed out to Gmail account holders?

My name is Luis and I'm from Spain. I've just come across this posts' thread and, sincerely, I'm really keen on GMail accounts, as, like other MSN or other services users, the email accounts offered are usually very small. We always have friends who send us lots of messages, some funny, some serious, and we don't want to delete them as they are a little piece of our own lives. Yes, I know it sounds a little bit strange, but I feel like that with people's emails (we, for example, make friends abroad and the Internet is the only way to keep in touch, so we don't want to lose them).

Anyway, I think I'm becoming extremely boring, sorry

I would be very grateful if somebody could send me a PM. Thank you very much.
