God intended that each person He crated be filled with a sense of His Glory. Glory can be defined as a feeling of dignity, great value of being, acceptability and legitimacy.
The opposite of Glory is shame. Shame can be defined as a feeling of lack of dignity, worthlessness of being, unacceptability, and illegitimacy. Gods purpose in your life is to impart to you glory through blessing. Satans purpose is to shame you through cursing.
Shame is a deep, deep wound of being that is a result of the cursing of a person identity. Shame as opposed to guilt, is a deep feeling of wrongness of being. Guilt, on the other hand, is a feeling of wrongness of action. Guilt says, I made a mistake Shame says,
I am a mistake. If I make a mistake, there is hope. I can repent. The blood of Christ can forgive me, and I can change and not make the mistake again. However, if I am a mistake, there is no hope for me. I can change what I do. But I cant change what I am.
Many people continually try to rid themselves of the feeling of shame through doing things that they hope will help. They then become human doings instead of human beings. Shame is a deep feeling of contamination, uncleanness, and of being uniquely flawed. It causes you to feel inept, different, and isolated from others. Its like I dont have what it takes to be a success or I dont belong. We need to see ourselves the way God sees us. Look at this scripture.
Jeremiah 1:5 BEFORE I formed thee in the belly I KNEW thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
This scripture shows us that God knows us when we are still seed. He chooses us for certain tasks in seed form. Like a gardener choose seed to grow vegetables. The gardener is a pro on knowing the different kinds of seeds. If he needs to grow a certain product he will choose the best seed for it. When God sent Jesus to be born of a virgin He chooses Mary the Mother of Jesus many years before she was born. He made His choice out of the bloodline because He knew the seed. If you are in shame, please look at yourself the way God does. He already made a way for you to deal with sin. Sin cannot stand between you and God because the blood of the Lamb is there to wash your sins away. God knows your potential, and even before you were born He knew you.
