Risk? We had a mini-ice age from 1450 through 1850 (ish) and it has been warming ever since. Admittedly, many people are not good stewards for what we have been blessed with... but what do you propose? We fall in line with the "world secular system" and accept that man is the cause of global warming? That is something I won't ever do because they have taken a natural occurrence and turned it into a lie for gain.

Hmmph. Do you use the "world secular system" and follow the standard time keeping of your clock? Do you use the "world secular system" and navigate with a GPS? Please don't expect us to swallow your conclusion because you use the words "world secular system".

Why CAN'T man be responsible for polluting and ruining the earth? What's WRONG with pointing out how global dumping of carbon dioxide into the air can result in overheating of the planet?

This "climate change", which used to be "global warming" until they were found out that it is not warming......

The globe continues to warm. How many extra hurricanes does it take to convince you something new is happening? How far north do the planting zones have to creep to convince you something new is happening? How much ice has to melt around Antarctica to convince you something is happening? How far back do glaciers have to retreat to convince you something is happening?

I guess I should clarify... Yes, the years have been a bit warmer..

BUT, not caused by man
AND, not near as bad as was presented by scarmongers
WILL, not last forever as the climate is, and has been, in flux for centuries.

PLUS, God is in control.

The number of hurricanes was always cited as a predicted result of global warming, yet the numbers show that the number has not been increasing. Top 10 Busiest Atlantic Hurricane Seasons | Weather Underground

Well, the science says otherwise, and I accept the findings the scientists share with us.

Future generations will ask us, what were we thinking? How could we be in such denial?

Is this the science that says water boils at 100 degrees Celsius when the atmosphere is at standard temperature and pressure and can be calculated as to what temperature it will boil at depending on specific atmospheric pressures?

Or that a gas will cool down when it goes from a high pressure to a low pressure?

Or that you will die if you do not have oxygen.

Or any other observable, testable and repeatable fact of real science.

Or the science that says that we came from monkeys, the earth is billions of years old, or any other theoretical views that are not observable, testable and repeatable... but just passed down as fact because the religion of scientism says so?

You claim that future generations will look back and ask "what were we thinking"... I agree. However, they will be talking about the "climate change" farce.

According to God, Christians, have a responsibility to keep His creation, the Earth habitable. Is it worth the risk to be wrong about Global Warming?
Each individual has to make that choice and everyone will be judged for the choices that they make in life.

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

According to God, Christians, have a responsibility to keep His creation, the Earth habitable. Is it worth the risk to be wrong about Global Warming?

I think, sometimes, people confuse "climate change denial" with a person who could care less about the environment.

This is understandable due to the bullying of the powers that be trying to insult and stifle the words of wisdom of those that are not falling for the hoax of "climate change."

I am totally in denial of any man made climate change. Yes, the climate is warming a bit. Am I concerned? Not at all. This warming is all part of the natural cycle of the global temperatures.

Do I care about the environment? Of course. I recycle and compost, drive a small car, try as best I can to not be a throw away type of person. Even when we had two kids in diapers I only put out one bag of garbage a week when we were allowed two.

An environmentally responsible person can deny the "climate change" hoax.

I will not be bullied by the insults of those that promote a belief that a gas that makes up 0.038% of our atmosphere will cause the polar ice caps to melt and wide spread panic by increasing to 0.040%....Think about that for a second.

Not the oxygen level, that makes up about 20%. Not the Nitrogen level that makes up close to the other 80%. And not the water vapor that can be as high as 98% relative humidity (Water can hold a lot of heat... think of your water bottle)..... but a gas that make up a tiny 0.040% of our atmosphere.

I am not letting other people, with alternate and questionable agenda's, think for me. God gave me intelligence and I will use it.

The temperature and climate of this earth is governed by the temperature of the oceans. The temperature of the oceans are the result of the heat of the sun, the amount of cloud cover that determines how much of the suns light gets into the ocean, or is trapped under it's blanket of moisture, and the velocity and duration of the trade winds that move the waters around the globe.

These oceans are deep and cover almost 70% of the surface of this planet. Water has a specific gravity of 1.0 and holds much more heat than any gas. This is why we use liquids to cool our engines and radiate heat in radiators and we do not use gases. They do not hold enough heat.

Combine that with the fact that the gas in question is almost in trace amounts.

So, I do not swallow any tale that a person in a white lab coat is spouting... just so they can get another grant to continue their bogus research and keep their job.

The world will do fine. I don't believe we could change the climate if we wanted to.

In the end, nothing happens under this sun that is not approved of by God and in the end will be done for His glory.

One more thing, that I think is a total joke.....

The whole carbon unit footprint thing..

So, Canada, which produces very little carbon pollution... or whatever, can trade it's left over allowable tones of carbon emissions with a country that is producing more than they are allowed...
Does nobody else see how whacked that is? The polluting country can pay another country and then their pollution is OK?

I don't think that the atmosphere cares that Canada go paid some money.. the pollution is still there.

And we say that humans are intelligent.

I see you pick and choose your science according to your preferences. If you don't like the finding, you say it isn't true. Doesn't change the truth.

In your post you make much of the fact that CO2 is such a small percentage of the atmosphere. But consider this: CO2 is the gas that matters. The other gases that exist there . . . they are ignored by infrared radiation, they don't participate in the greenhouse affect.

They could be completely gone, and the CO2 be all that's there. Then the CO2, though thin, would be 100 per cent of the gas. That wouldn't increase its warming power, but . . . it would hardly at all reduce the warming power, either.

But you couldn't raise the "minimal percentage" objection then!

Which shows, logically, you minimal percentage objection isn't valid. The real question is, how much does the CO2 that is present actually do?

Would you rather have a six inch manifold or jacket of water, continually heated to 22 degrees centigrade, surrounding your home throughout the winter and summer, in order to maintain a comfortable temperature in your home...

OR...

a jacket of CO2?

I'm betting that the CO2 would be of no use in outside temperatures much below 20 degrees or, for that matter, above 23 degrees.

As I said before, the increase of CO2 to a percentage of 0.040% of the total atmosphere is a bogus and ridiculous excuse for the hoax of melting ice caps...

No matter how much of a super gas people tell me this is.... there is just absolutely not enough of it to even worry about.

I cannot believe what people will believe when someone dons a white lab coat and spews a bunch of math and graphs at them....

As someone already said.. time will be the only test.

I have already lived through the ice age scare of the 70's...... Old enough to remember and not to fall for the opposite problem now...

Actually, time has already tested their theories and the theories keep failing. We were supposed to be melting and gasping for air to breathe by the year 2000, but they keep moving the goalposts when it comes to when we're doomed.

So, since the actual events that have transpired, since Al Gores film of propaganda, have not come close to the predicted chaos...I guess we will see more of the same disappointments for the people drawing a check from research money that promotes this farce?

No, I use my brain. And, if some guy in a white lab coat tells me that a gas that makes up 0.04% of our atmosphere is going to cause New York to flood.... I'll believe him as much as the guy that said that we were entering an ice age, when I was in grade 5..... Or the guy that said computers were going to create so much free time that we would have to have people working full time to keep us active so we didn't get bored with the new found freedom and wealth that we were going to have when the world got automated.

Look, I know you mean well. But, science has no integrity left. It used to be a well run and self regulated standard of truth.... now.... it is a dog being wagged by it's tail. Truth is no longer a concept held by the so called scientists.

Yes, there is real factual science. This is the stuff that makes internal combustion engines run, airplanes fly, submarines function and nuclear reactors produce electricity. But it does not tell us that the world is heating up due to cows passing wind...

Tesla said it best:

Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality. Nikola Tesla

And all the people of this world have seen so many new technologies and inventions that they don't question anything when someone slips in with a total farce to drain their last dollar from their bankrupt accounts.
