This news should be exiting to all people of faith. The pope and others have started an organisation aimed at drawing together people of faith to combat slavery, e.g. sexual slavery etc.
If you have a church please support the Global Freedom Network. It is not entirely Christian, incorporating other faiths. But it was started by a Christian, has the support of the pope, and others. The Christian voice should be loud on this issue.
