Sheeple: Those who sign the back of checks. Republicans sign the front.
I like Glenn Beck, but I like Rush even more
hey, don't be so sure repubs. are the only ones signing
fronts of checks; the democrats just voted themselves the
biggest tax hikes they'll ever see.
if you like that, you might enjoy this little videoBeck is fast approaching #1 with a bullitt in cable news polls.
He's one of the "few", very few, that speaks out loud in TV land about what conservatives actually think and are concerned about.
It's not PC to speak against the policies of the ONE in the media. Beck has the guts to do it, (with relish).

I was sent in my Email.
There's also a push to get people to mail a teabag on April 1st
to Wash. DC (just the label of the teabag) to let them know
you don't approve of the spending bills w/ earmarks.
Plus a red envelope to be sent to Obama for his abortion
reversals... I'll get the links
I'll probly do the teabag thingy.

Interesting. (not real surprising is it) - I knew NSNBC was as liberalSantelli of CNBC was reined in after expressing his truthful feelings.
The parent company of CNBC, GE, shut him up. They're a supporter of the Messiahs administration. BTW, General Electric was downgraded from AAA status this week to AA+ on Wall Street. They're the parent company of NBC & MSNBC. GE has a very liberal agenda and will unquestionably be bailed out by this administration.

Jim, I'm not sure it makes any difference?
I mean, his main message is how we were all in unity Sept. 12th, 2001.
We put away, temporarily, all the things that separated us as Americans.
As long as he's not selling Mormanism, I don't think it matters what his personal faith is.
I don't see that it makes a difference here. Mormons and conservative Christians disagree on theology, not on politics. Beck isn't talking about the nature of Jesus as God, or whether the Book of Mormon is divinely inspired scripture, but about government power grabs and profligate spending. Beck could be an atheist, a Buddhist, a Hindu or a Muslim for all I care. So long as he talked good sense about politics, I'd continue to listen to him.I would think a person's faith always matters
...except perhaps when it comes to nationalism~then we can compartmentalize faith...faith is just for the "religion" box, then there's the "patriotism" box, and as along as we can keep things separated then it's cool? Dude's a mormon, a religion dangerous cultic enough that even CF keeps it at bay...just thinking out loud here..

People of other religions aren't the enemy, but fellow children of God who don't understand all of His revelation yet. They may know some of it: all religions contain some truth, else no one would bother to follow them. But the others lack the most important thing, the resurrected Christ. We can and should preach the Gospel to them... but what will make them want to listen? Treating them as the enemy... or as prodigal sons?Still, sounds awfully close to fellowshipping with the unfruitful works of darkness...or is it just a case of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" sorta thing...?

On that level, I think conservatives can consider Mormons allies in the culture war. They may be in theological error, but they're solidly in favor of conservative moral values.I meant more along the lines of Conservative vs Liberal cultural war..as far as all religions "containing some truth"....not enough to unite with.

...does his "super patriotism" trump his cultic faith to be accepted as a legitimate news commentator with Christians?
Jim, going back to your original question:
Honestly, I usually don't know a commentator's faith. Unless they talk about it, or I happen to hear about it. I know O'Reilly and Hannity are Catholic, and that's about it. The only reason I know Beck is Mormon is because he has said he is Mormon.
What is Rush Limbaugh's faith? I don't have a clue, never heard him mention it before. But a lot of the time, he has some good things to say, so I listen to him.
Paul does not tell us not to associate with non-Christians, although he does tell us not to associate with immoral Christians who refuse to repent. I think that what he writes below would say that where our and non-Christian interests coincide, we can cooperate together.Still, sounds awfully close to fellowshipping with the unfruitful works of darkness...or is it just a case of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" sorta thing...?

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NASB95)
9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindlernot even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.
