Code Name: Glance
Age: Just turned 15
Race: Caucasian (mostly of German descent, with some Irish and Italian for good measure)
Hair: Dirty, dark blondish color; spiky and short
Eyes: Grey
Physical Appearance: About 5'7" tall, and slim. Not particularly strong, nor a good fighter, he nonetheless uses his small stature to blend effectively into crowds and be sneaky when need be.
Personality: Generally, he isn't one of the most well-liked people in circles his own age. He tends to be a bit of a tattle-tale and rats people out, but then breaks the rules on his own now and then, giving him not the best reputation. He also has a tendency for eavesdropping, and for being in the wrong place at the right time, or the right place at the wrong time, if that makes sense, which usually makes him end up with interesting pieces of information that he shouldn't necessarily know. Inside though, he's a pretty normal, yet insecure, teenager who just wants to fit in and make friends. He's never found that to be easy though, so his current personality is sort of a defense mechanism -- the only way he can stay sane and keep going in the midst of his otherwise messed up life.
History: Not a lot to tell about him. His parents divorced when he was 11, his mom running off, never to be heard from again. His dad turned a bit to alcoholism, and went from job to job and place to place, though he never hurt Ian directly. Still, Ian blames him somewhat for his inability to fit in or spend enough time in one place to call it home. The MTC was Mr. Smythe's only real choice for his son -- he was at the end of his own road, having been caught in a botched robbery attempt, tried, and sentenced to two years in jail. Garrett had a younger sister, but she was taken by his mother when she left, and as that was one of the only good, close relationships he had, that loss didn't affect him very positively either.
Mutant Powers: They are all vision-related. His eyes are normally a very dull, non-descript grey, but when he uses one of his powers, they change to different colors, allowing for different effects, some of which he doesn't even know he has yet, but which include:
White - X-Ray/UV/Infrared vision -- he can see all across the spectrum, but mainly uses it to see through things. (Current Ability)
Yellow - Light-energy force-beams, currently which pack a good whammy, but not usually enough to completely subdue a foe. (Current Ability)
Blue - Temporarily freezes the person in his line of sight in place, for about a thirty-second period of time. He's barely begun to manifest this power, and it's not fully controlled as of yet. (Current Ability)
Silver - Hypnotic stare, which allows him to send simple mental commands to anyone who catches his glance. (Latent Ability)
Green - Catches random, half-memories from people; concentration and time might allow this ability to become more strategic and allow for focusing on particular memories. (Latent Ability)
