every time I say-- God take control of my life i can t handle it anymore --it sems that things go from bad to worse. does anyone else ever have that happen to them ?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Maybe soemtimes He has to show us where we're at before he can begin to take us to where we want to be.

The way i think of it is this: We have certain doors that we keep locked and away from God, hidden. We still have some of the keys. You have to give up ALL of the keys to ALL of the doors so that God can be in ALL of your life. He is the master of keys. He knows our next move, our next prayer, our next thought in life. If you give him all the keys, or all control he will take control. But we also must go to him in prayer and give everything to him. He wants your trouble, he wants your life, he wants the control. He's bigger than the universe.
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? 22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. 23 He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. 24 No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff" ( Isaiah verses 21-24)
"To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One. 26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing" (verses 25-26-Isaiah)
GOD is SO big, he knows your plans and your way. Mean it will all your heart and let him have all the keys to all the doors in your life. Let him have the control because he is so much bigger than us. He can handle it. When you give him the control, your heart is so much more free. Go to him in prayer asking him to take control, mean it with all your heart and soul. Go and be free.
