If you have savings, then you have money. Why don't you tithe from that. You are giving to God when you tithe, not man. This is the mentality you should always have.
And those who give to God, He will open the storehouse unto them.

Why does God need money? When I tithe which I do if I can afford it then I give in the knowledge I am helping the church and the running of the church. How can a God possibly need our money??? Man yes, God no.

I think anyone who thinks they should never tithe at all should become a pastor. Then you will see things differently. How do you think a church gets built? How do you think the bills get payed? How do you think programs at the church are run? The pastor doesn't have access to some vault God made for them full of money. Our old pastor was married with two young kids and his yearly salary was $15,000. The rest went to the church to maintain

There is no obligation on you to tithe.

I'd say that, under the circumstances, if someone else gives you money for food or some other special purpose, you cannot use it for a different purpose--like church--without talking to them about it.

You are wrong God blesses those who tithe but especially those who tithe in hard times.

"Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on. Luke 21 1:4"
