I think we are all willing to see what he has to say, I am just really surprised that this forum of "ask Josephus" was even started. I think alot of us are pretty much just shocked. I was a guest for months before registering and I only recall a thing or two that was contributed,I only joined last week and I have not been here for a few days, so I am still finding my own way around, but come on psycmajor? do you really think 1 person has all of the answers? I would rather direct my questions to someone who has aneducational background in theology, but you do as you please. I am interested in hearing the responses and I will remain open minded.

I don't remember anyone ever saying he has all of the answers. If you want all of the answers you need to look in the bible and talk directly to God. Josephus is merely offering a way to help clear things up because it can become confusing.

Josephus was a Jewish Priest and General/Leader in the Jewish rebellion against Rome in 68 AD. He was captured by the Romans and became a friend of the Roman General Vespasian, who later became Emperor. He accompanied the Roman Army during the remainder of the rebellion and worked for the Romans on several occasions trying to get the Jews to surrender, primarily in Jerusalem. In his History of The Wars of the Jews he mentioned the fact that Christianity existed a couple of times.

He really made no contribution to Christianity at all because we already know that it existed and can verify that by several Roman writers.
