  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

HI Girls!!

I had to watch the "New Inventors" show on the ABC (Australian) tonight as they were showcasing a new style of underwear that is available. It was designed to be worn under hipsters, or any other clothing, and eliminates the VPL (Visible Panty Line).

So the question is would you wear it?

Can't vote. I can't pick more than one in the poll. If I could, it would be "THUNK.....please wait whilst I climb back onto my chair", "you've GOT to be kidding!!!!", and "Where's the rest of it?" I'd also like to add, "Who dreams up these torture devices--Women hater, pervert, and registered offender #_?" AND "I HOPE this isn't real--like that awful thong." And "why even bother?--This outrageous design certainly doesn't cover a thing albeit it's SUPPOSED to be under clothing.

You know, when bikinis first started coming out--they were just cut a little less than a two piece bathing suit. And that little ditty "Yellow polka dot bikini" spoke of the shame the girl felt wearing it for the first time. Of course, underwear at the time was actually designed to cover something--not titillate. What happened?

OK, where's the option to vote for: "If my pants are so tight that folks can see my panties, it is time to buy larger pants."

Ah, still ANOTHER option I need in the poll. Of course, it must be coupled with "If my pants are so low that backless underwear seems like a good idea or that I need to schedule a bikini wax to wear them, then it's ALSO time to buy larger pants AND write the manufacturer insisting on clothes that actually cover things." Let's see, that makes eight options I would choose and five of them don't even appear in the poll!

I no longer think we are "sliding toward Gomorrah". We seem to running full tilt!

I don't wear 'hipsters', avoiding the visible pantyline in skirts is something that sounds good to me, but I think I would always have the feeling I was actually LOOSING my underwear if I was wearing that. I can just imagine myself constantly trying to tug it up in every available washroom. Has any of you had that, at the beginning of the 'lower on the hips pants' fashion a few years ago, that you bought a pair of pants and then continually tried to 'tug it up', because 'there must be something wrong with it as it keeps going down'?

^_^ I would totally be doing that.

And I do wear low rise jeans, but I promise nothing is hanging out; though I will admit to pulling them. ^_^

I can't wear those "hipsters" anyway. Even if I could, I wouldn't be wearing ones low enough to necessitate that!! I do have pants where I get VPL if I wear the wrong panties (and they're nearly a size too big!), but I still wouldn't resort to that.

If I were wearing pants that shows the panty lines of my hipsters, then it's time for me to either buy new underwear, or a larger pair of pants.

Besides, the designs reminds me of something someone would wear in a movie, or place, or situation I think none of us have ever been in. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, PM me. It's not conversation fit for mixed company.

*G* The only good part for me about the hipster rage was that I could not find any pants I 'might want to wear'. That doesn't seem like something 'good', but I have always preferred skirts and dresses. (it's not a religious thing, I just feel so much better, more free, and more of a woman in them. *L* A personal preference.) But a woman wearing skirts and dresses in daily life is becomming rare. And someone wearing 'nothing but' skirts and dresses? Really weird! *G* The hipster pants gave me the perfect little push to start wearing what I wanted to wear.
