I am trying to decide on which bible to get my niece. She is not a Christian, so I don't want to overwhelm her, but I would love to spark her interest and get her going. She isn't a huge reader either. Would I be better off going with a Life Application Bible? Or perhaps one of the Message Remix ones? Thanks!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

praise God that your trying to make a diffrence in her life. thats awesome.
try to find a bible that will be relevant and understandable, but i guess you already know that... so. but i really dont know which is, i love the good ol king james myself, but she probly wouldnt.
though you praying for her and interceeding that God would reveal himself to her and open up her heart to him so she can get a glimpse of him. so he can work in her life, is more important than giving her the right bible.
thousands of families and people have dusty, unused bibles because God hasnt visited them for a long time, regardless of the kind of bible.
you need to make praying that her eyes would be opened to the truth and seeing God herself, the most important thing.
the devil can decieve her mind, but if she ever really sees or meets God then shell be changed.
