Giant spike!

I got tempted today and under my mistakes of doing things I smoked a litl bit of weed. Then I spiked like crazy thinking I was dead and this is the after life and I'm going to be punished because I ived such a bad life. I'm really scared right now guys. I don't know who to trust. It's hard for me to trust God and I always think that the torments I go thru right now must be the after life and I'm tormented. Nothing hurts more then this. It just hurts to think, to feel or anything. I'm just so confused. I knew I shouldn't of done that but I slipped up and now I'm hurting like this.

I consider weed a psychosomatic drug, if you are going to smoke that stuff and open up your mind like that, then expect to have horrid experiences like that.

Ya JPT! It was horrible. I had never been more frighten in my life. Truly I am staying away from that stuff.

Just getting ready to connect with God again before I head to bed. I'll be sure to remember you in that too. I know it's not easy going through what you're going through.... believe me, I know it's not. But, you've got to hang in there and take things one day at a time.

You can't do it in your own strength. You've got to let the Lord help you day by day. Continue to ask for that and I truly believe he'll help you.

I was told to avoid even caffeine and alcohol to mitigate my OCD symptoms, and weed is much worse than those for playing around with the mind! In a normal person, it wouldn't do a great deal of harm, but for someone with OCD.......!

You definitely aren't dead! Unless we all are, in which case, it really isn't so bad!!! You'll pull through this episode like all your others. I reckon it is really helpful to focus on something you like doing or some engrossing work. I find it soon helps puts me on an even keel. One of my favourite things to do to forestall a big spike is to work on a language I have been inventing just for the fun of it - I soon get so wrapped up in the complexity that I forget about my obsessions (if I catch the spike early).

Wulp, I can't argue that were all dead because that is what my OCD has attached to. And well you have to accept the uncertiany of it and not analyze it. Today is a new day and even tho my mind is wanting to pull to ruminate I will use my CBT skills in order not to.

Just remember, even if you were were "dead" you really wouldn't be dead. Because the Bible says that God is not a God of the dead, but of the living.

I lost a BIG BIG portion of my life due to this OCD. Scripture also says. Or Jesus said whosoever losses there life for MY sake will gain it. That pretty much fits my discription of losing there life for Christ and gaining it.
