i dint know which forum to post this in so i thought id post it in here where it will get lots of views or something

whats your opinion on ghosts, poltergiests and the like ?

are they real and what are they, why are they there/ here/ wherever they are and do you have any personal stories or photos to share with the rest of us

Just resently we talked about this in my youth group.

We decided through evidence in the bible that they were demons.

Yes I believe they exist.

Ghosts are people that have died, usually quickly and without warning. But through believing themselves to be either unworthy of God's love or suffer from severe mental illness do not believe that God will welcome them to the other side. And so they stay between life and death until they are ready to cross over on their own or someone from the other side comes to bring them Home.

To all of you people who said that ghosts were demons...in the Bible serious illness (such as epilepsy for instance) was also considered demon possession. So...

despite the mess of my original post this is very similar to my way of thinking, would you agree that maybe some spirits still remain here not realising that they have died or maybe have remained to await justice over their early demise such as maybe their body was never found or they have messages for the living ? maybe i read too many stories i dont know

as for your second paragraph it kind of reminds me of 'the exorcist' which while one of the most terrifying films of its day when first put on public realease seems quite mild by todays standards, i only saw it a couple of years ago myself and found it more funny than scary and quite enlightening in so much as what you said about illnesses in the bible being considered demonic possession...this occuring because even back in the time of story the film was based on such illnesses as tourettes syndrome, epilepsy or mental illness were not at all understood as they are today ?
