What are Ghosts?? Are they Demons?? Evil?? Good??? Because i think my house might be haunted. And dont think i am crazy because I am not.

its hard to tell what kind of spirit you may possibly have. It may not even be a ghost at all. Please PM me about this, im not really in the right state of mind to post any worth while information at the moment.

I don't think you're crazy. I lived in a "haunted house" growing up. Radios and TVs turning on and off, voices in other rooms, as well as serious happenings. Such as a large red creature coming through a wall, my dad being strangled by an unseen person, and a death threat on my baby sister, just to name a few. But all activity ended after my mom blessed the house with holy water. If you'd like to talk more about it, PM me. I'm a rather talkative fellow.

I firmly believe they are demons. They do nothing to furthur His kingdom, but rather cause a great distraction from it. Look at all the people who are ghost-hunters, or psychics that find energy pockets or whatever it is they do. Not only are they distracted from God's plan in their life, but are derailing others. If they were angels, they would be doing something to further the kingdom. But this is not what (to my knowlege) usually goes on in a haunting.

Demons won't stay in the areas where praise and worship to God is expressed.

Also, it couldn't hurt to get rid of all of the following items:

* Books about the occult or witchcraft or Satanism
* Dungeons & Dragons stuff
* Anything with a pentagram on it
* Ouija boards
* Books about aliens, UFOs, etc.
* Tarot cards
* Crystal balls or other crystal fantasy items

I listed the first 5 items because I have heard first-hand accounts about demonic activity/hauntings with each of the items listed above. The other two usually give me similar feelings.

Then pray for the Holy Spirit to come into your house and banish all the evil spirits. Get the strongest Christian you know to come over and pray that with you.

PRman... We don't have any of that stuff in our house but I haven't actually seen anything in awhile.

I feel like something is behind me and whenever I do play praise music it does seem to make that feeling go away. It usually happens at night at the same time so I usually like going to bed before then.

I don't know what is in your house , but if you are born again, you have been given authority over all powers. Luke 10: 19 -Jesus speaking, " Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL power of the enemy: and nothing shalll by any means hurt you."
Take authority over it, tell it where to go. Tell the devil he is under your feet ,brother!!!

Does anyone have any proof that there are ghosts? I've never seen anything supernatural in my life. I think seeing something like that, would be the ultimate proof of any type of life after death.

We live in a haunted house where the weird and wacky is the norm, our spooks are friendly and welcome. I don't think ghosts are spirits back from the dead, I think it is a natural phenomena and science will one day be able to explain the mechanism.

There is a book called Beyond the Quantum that my husband had and it talks about stuff like that in it. But we have to be careful of that devil too, because he has a spirit world and mischievious spirits that do hauntings.

I haven't heard of 'Beyond the Quantum', but my husband has read several books dealing with the quantum theory, whatever that is! My childhood home had a poltergeist, so I am quite used to all this sort of thing, and it doesn't bother me at all. I firmly believe in a natural, rather than a supernatural cause, for the sort of phenomena we experience almost daily. At least we never lack after dinner conversation, LOL!!!

God is Spirit and Satan is Spirit. Agents of God are Angels. Agents of Satan are demons (fallen angels).

IMHO, ghosts are of a demonic presence.

Satan and his agents do all that they can to take the eye off the Believer of Jesus Christ, including but not limited to the subject of ghosts.

Absolutely. We thought it was fun as kids to go poking around in "haunted" places, cemetaries & stuff. Until things started answering us. I had a couple freaky experiences in cemetaries: one where a loud groan came out of the ground when my friend stepped over the grave. We both heard it and fled. (This was before I was saved) I lived about 5 months in a haunted house and both myself and several others there witnessed "poltergiest" activity: the sound of footsteps on the stairs at night when no one was walking on them, seeing a fuzzy tenatacle thing descend out of the cieling. All this did was contribute to my interest in the "dark side" and drew me further from God. When I got saved I learned those mischievious spirits were from the Devil, and we have authority over them in Jesus' name. In Christ we can cast them out of our homes for good.

I too as a young person thought it was fun to fool around with the dark side, be it movies, haunted houses, and alot more, we thought it was fun, really did not give it much thought, until I found out that Satan came to steal and destroy. He was looking for my death and did not want me to know God. He likes to play games with people, gives us some fun ( we think ) He come as a Angle of light, so lot of people are not afraid at the beginning, or they do not know what they are dealing with, which in turn people give Satan all different kinds of names, like Ghost, UFO, Spirit, walking dead, and a few more that do not come to mind at the moment. The miniute he know you know what he is, then watch out, the fun and games are over.

The presence of demons (fallen angels) is not an opinion for it is clearly stated by Jesus concerning the existence of demons and His dealings with them.
