The good:
With a few caveats, I enjoyed this movie a lot. I'll admit I laughed at the geeky humor jokes.
I wasn't sure the drastic setting change from the first movies would work well, going from NYC to very small town in the middle of nowhere, but it did.
The acting was ok, and the characters were for the most part sympathetic and likable, quirky but not too far out there.
The bad:
A bit of sexual humor throughout. A bit of implied sexual activity between the mother and the teacher, even though they were controlled by spirits at the time.
Not sure why the apathetic teacher was made a hero.
Conclusion:
Probably not as much of a kid's movie as it may look. Good for a few laughs, or some nostalgia over the first movies. But be aware that there is some iffy content.
