Why didn't the "activists" decry the drug dealers, prostitutes, rappers, thieves, etc... instead of the game maker?

Chang, a 28-year-old entrepreneur... the Taiwanese immigrant has not set foot in a ghetto since arriving in the United States with his parents at age 8.

Maybe I'm giving Chang too much credit for being ignorant of racial prejudices and racial tension towards a whole group of people that this stereotype is supposed to be making a joke of. It's a possibility that he is a bigot who designed this game with the malicious intent of making a buck, or for the really big payoff of his 10 minutes of fame.

That's his right, though. He violates no laws, does he?

I think he is less a bigot and more a businessman looking for a quick buck.

Sin is sin whether it be committed by whites, blacks, asians or whomever. But in respect to cultural differences, when Mr. Chang created this "game", why not create a game reflective of his own "heritage' which he knows from personal experience. Since he has such an opens sense of humor. Also in retrospect the drug industry is much larger than the "ghetto". How many quote "drug dealers", have the assets, or resources to import/transport drugs into our country. While emphasis is placed on the "ghetto", it's time to investigate and arrest some of the more lucrative persons, those who sit high and look low.......... The boys in the "hood", don't have the connections or resources, ever thought about that???????

Nothing is wrong with rappers. Some use fowl language, some do use drugs, but being a rapper doesn't automactically mena you do both, there are many Christian rappers.

The reverends that are spot-lighted on tv, don't begin to scratch the surface of the hard-working, non-public ministers that sponsor drug rehab programs at their churches, clothing banks, couseloring services, academic programs, and mentoring services. Of course the ministers who are spot-lighted are more well known from the public prospective, but there are many others fighting for the rights of their communities, kids, and neigborhoods.

Dealing with prostitutes, um.......all of us have a story to tell. I'm sure the prostitute didn't grow up determined to be a prostitute, life has a way of leading us into some bad choices and situations. The prostitute has a soul, as does the drug user/dealer. Is the drug dealer/ user any worse than Rush Limbaugh, who admitted his drug addiction??? Sin is sin..........

The problem I see here is not the fact that the game-maker has satirized some particular sins, but that it has generalized it over an entire group. There are many who live in the inner city who I'm sure are doing their best to live a good moral life.

Mr. Chang owes the black community (especially who struggle with the problems of drug abuse and rampant crime) an apology for his actions. Satirizing is one thing, what's going on here is bigotry packaged as entertainment.
