Moving house when I was about 2 years old

Smoking (I never have, even though my parents did), most seafood, Ford (even though we have an Escort), tradition in the church, the wind

5. What is your ambition?
All my ambitions have been fufilled in God (true), but I guess that I would have to say that I would love to hear the Lord say "well done, my true and faithful servant"

6. Where would you like to go on a visit?
Oooh... New England/Vermont in winter, California in summer, return trip to Israel (no. 1), Sweden, Germany (again), Great Wall of China - you know, the usual stuff...

7. What makes you angry?
Ignorant behaviour, prejudice, manipulation, the oppression of the enemy

8. What makes you happy?
God, worship, sunny days, good friends, family

9. What would you like God to do for you (not your spouse, parent, brother, sister or anyone else - but you)?
Pour out more of His anointing on my life

10.What's your greatest Chriatian experience?
A personal encounter with Jesus....

My earliest memory is from when I was a baby. I can remember being somewhere with my father, and he was holding me, standing next to this brown counter, and there were men standing around smiling, and one of them didn't have any teeth. That man tickled my chin. There is no sound with this memory, just this brief image.

A few years ago, I asked my dad about it, and he said it really did happen. When I was about 8 months old, he took a week of vacation, and when he went down to the plant to pick up his paycheck, he took me with him. The paychecks were handed out at the end of the day, and all the men would wait around a brown counter in the office. He said worked with a man who didn't have teeth and that that man tickled my chin to try to get me to laugh.

>>1. What is your earliest memory?

My earliest memory was when I was 3 years old. I had a sister who was 5 and we got into a fight over a box of crayons. My mom came into the room and took them away from us. But later when my sister was in school, I went into her room and found some pens and colored the lamp shade to her lamp. Soon after that, we were getting out of the car and she slammed the car door on me breaking one of my fingers. (It's still slightly crooked) I do not think she intended to do that kinda damage, but I do think she slamed the door on me on purpose. I also remember my grandfather and playing with his shoes in the closet when we went to visit his house. He died when I was around that age, so it is easy to date my first memorys.

It is real interesting what we remember, I have been thinking about this recently. There are things I think about, from time to time, and thus I remember them. There are other things I just don't ever think about and I usually forget those things. Even if someone else brings it up, it's hard for me to find the memory, because I just do not ever think about it.

People usually remember me, not always in a good way, but I am sure it is because I cause them to think about different things. So, even after I am long gone, they may still be thinking about something I said, and thus they tend to remember me. Thanks, JohnR7

>>Psychologists say that most people's earliest memories are negative, John.

I really don't have much use for psychologists. Esp. the ones that base what they believe on the teaching of Fraud and his disciple Spock. Fraud we are told, took drugs and was into the occult. Spock began the trend of bringing the old greek myths back into modern use.

We are not against good doctors and good medicine, but some doctors and some medicine is not so good. The greek word for Witchcraft is "pharmakeia" where we get our modern word for "pharmacy". You have to be very careful with doctors, they can help you, but they can also kill you.

Paul says to forget what is behind and press on toward Jesus. We are all going to need to reach a point where we seek after God for the solution to whatever problems we are having and learn how not to turn to man for the solution. Doctors help a lot of people early in life, but as they get older, there is less and less they can do.

Without doctors infant mortality rates can run as high as 50%, with doctors in this country they run about 5%. My dad was a baby doctor for 50 years, and I have people come up to me and say someone is still alive because of him. But I am well aware of the flip side of the coin also. Thanks, JohnR7

1. What is your earliest memory?

My earliest memory is probably actually a dream I had. It was funny. I was talking to my mom about this dream I remember having when I was probably 3 or 4 and I dreamt that the Easter Bunny got ran over outside of our house. And mom said that wasn't a dream, there was actually a rabbit that got ran over outside the front of our house. How wierd is that?

2. What was your experience of school (did you like it or hate it)?

I am still in school, wll college now. I was homeschooled and never went to a public or private school. I loved it! Many people are confused as to why I liked it, they think that I missed out on so much, but I know that I have a closer relationship with God because of my parents choice to homeschool me.

3. What do you enjoy? :)

I enjoy reading and writing. I enjoy going to museams and learning about things and people. I enjoy dancing and theatre.

4. What do you dislike? :(

I dislike lying and cheating. I dislike being away from my family and friends. I dislike when I talk before I think, and say something that I regret. I dislike collard greens, a lima beans. I dislike getting into fights with my sister.

5. What is your ambition?

My greatest ambition is to share Christ with the world, and I want to do that through Middle school and High School students and with drama. That is my ambition

6. Where would you like to go on a visit?

France and Holland are the two places I would want to go most outside of America, and I would like to go to New York, and California in the states.

7. What makes you angry?

When I sin against God, or when I have the chance to minister and I let pride get in the way.

8. What makes you happy?

Being able to talk openly to my friends about our relationships with Christ, and to be able to hang out with people who touch my heart.

9. What would you like God to do for you (not your spouse, parent, brother, sister or anyone else - but you)?

To make me bolder, and to open up doors so that I know where he wants me to go

10.What's your greatest Christian experience? :holy:

Youth group, about four weeks ago. The kids were down on their faces weeping for God to move in their lives, that was a great experience.

10. In high school I went to a Petra concert with my youth group from church and the Holy Spirit moved and we all ended up dancing in the aisles with abandon and feeling such warm and utter joy. When I got home afterward, my mother could still see teh Spirit on my face.

Another great thread, Marty. ;)

Hi Martin, What a fun thread!!

Here are my answers.

My earliest memory is being bitten by my grandmother's dog when I was three.

I loved school. I love learning about things.

I enjoy reading and my computer.

I dislike alcohol. Coming from a family of alcoholics and being an ex one myself. (I have been sober for 13 years)

My ambition is to raise my three children with the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. I also want them to turn out to be productive members of society.

I would love to visit Israel.

Rude unkind people make me very angry. I do not think that there is ever a time that we need to be rude to another human being.

Spending time with God and my family make me very happy.

I would like God to help me trust Him more. I sometimes still have trouble with this.

My greatest experience is getting to share my faith with others. Coming from the school of hard knocks I can see now that God allowed my hardships for a reason. There is no greater feeling than to truly reach out to another with the message that 'I understand I have been there".

God bless,
Roberta

About me:

My earliest memory was choking on a life saver when I was 2 and my mom turned me upside down and smacked me on the back and the life saver came flying out. Not a very nice first memory.

I never liked school, but I have always enjoyed learning.

I enjoy reading, Bible study, computers, researching things, fishkeeping, gardening, playing with my kids, and if I was able to do it, traveling.

I dislike traffic, rudeness.

My ambition is to be like the woman in Proverbs and to raise my 4 boys to be gentlemen after God's own heart.

Of course I would love to visit Israel! I also would love to visit Ireland and Alaska.

Rude and uncaring people and self-righteousness in people makes me angry.

Being a child of God makes me happy and knowing that He loves me. Also spending time with my family.

I would like God to continue to help me grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My greatest Christian experience was the moment I rededicated my life to Christ.
