Getting the Word in ME!!!!

Well I'v just made a decision to read God's Word and ignore all the noise as best I can because I will atleast know that I am doing the best I can. And will no longer fill like since I've backslid I'm in trouble. Now all I need is to get that courage to wtness to all who need Christ. It has almost been a full year since I've really studied God's Word and I think getting that in me is the best medicine for what we go thru... I'm no longer going to look at the past at my failures but instead go forward and press on I love you guys thank you for all the support and may God still bless you as He's done with Me....

You need to get yourself a strong foundation in Gods Word.Keep it up

As long as you have made the decision to study the bible, here is a suggestion.

Topic Technique (To be Used Individually)

1. In this Bible study technique you choose a topic--not a random topic but a topic that you feel the you need further revelation of.
Examples of Topics:
High Calling, Boldness ,Fruitfullness, Sanctification,
Love, Compassion ,Spiritual Gifts ,Worship,
Praise, Deliverance ,Healing ,Wisdom,
Humility, Discipleship ,Growth, Restoration,

2. Pick out several books to study in the New Testament.

3. Develop a consciousness of the topic by meditation on it and by arousing some eager expectation of revelation to come.

4. As you focus on the topic begin reading the scripture. Write out the passages that have to do with the topic and ask the Holy Spirit for a deeper understanding.

5. At the end of the study session write a list of affirmations that affirm the written out scriptures and carry them with you throughout the day to say out loud and meditate on.

6. Share any revelation you have received with others in the body of Christ.

Yep, studing the true meaning of Jesus's Teaching's when you put into context and see the time line and what he was trying to say. But ya, been filling up on that for a while now and I don't plan on giving up either. For some reason it's different this time like Faith without works is dead Faith so I must prove to God that when the light shines thru me there will be no cracks in this vessel. But a SINCERE vessel of the Lord ....

Try not to get ahead of yourself sweetie! I've been there time and time and time and time again ( you get the pic).. I mean, it's great to have that goal, but if you are anything like me... I'd get an ambition but get ahead of God and lack the grace to be consistant in it according to my standards then become really discouraged and condemend... I've had to learn how to calm my heart down and wait on God's grace though some days I was ready to conquer the world, but I had to wait for my own sake so I wouldn't feel like such a failure when I took on much more then I was ready for.

Praise God !! for this revelation about ignoring the noise! That's a big step in deliverance of OCD! God, please help this man have your peace, grace/ability as he steps out in faith and walks in faith. Lead and guide him and give him the courage to walk in his faith and be free and happy like never before!

Thank you, I know exactly what your talking about and yes I do agree not to get ahead of myself because last time I did that I felt exactly what you descibed condemend and that ate me up inside but ya I'll just try to let God work and stay in line with him.
