Voz,

I've got some things to say to you but that would be a thread hijack. All I'm going to say now is that since this thread is about an individual who got rejected for his looks, it's crazy to blame racism instead of trying to help him better himself through this.

Voz,

Twisted, could you start another thread if you'd like to continue this discussion? I'm not sure what things you have to say to me. I'm not trying to start a fight, but have a productive discussion about real issues. This isn't about blaming any particular individual but, rather, a mindset.

He didn't get rejected for his looks. He got rejected for being a particular ethnic/racial background (see his first post). I see this being a productive discussion if anyone is willing to start another thread. Discussions are not monolithic; they branch off into other discussions.

I'm not going to continue debating this if people are going to react defensively. I recognize that I am a minority here (in more ways than one), and people aren't going to take lightly to some of the things I've brought up. But that's okay. It seems like whenever the question of race or ethnicity comes up among Christians, people want to brush it under the table instead of acknowledging that this is a REAL problem in the CHURCH that has been going on for centuries. Circumventing the issue isn't going to get us anywhere. Again, it goes back to some of the things I addressed in my previous posts. It's a shame that Christians can't have discussions about important social issues in a productive manner.

Race affects looks. She is not attracted to Asian men. He is Asian. Therefore, she does not like the way he looks.
