So, I have learned much in this 33 Marian Consecration renewal, for the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. I've been expanding my Devotion to the Divine Mercy, and overcoming my disordered fear. Yesterday, I stumbled across an article on FishEaters that brilliantly brought everything together, and helped me understand things better, and take the step I needed to take. But before I get to that article, I'd like to address a change in my view on Satan and evil.

My favourite portrayal of Satan in fiction, is Morgoth in J. R. R. Tolkein's the Children of Hurin particularly the chapter, The Words of Hurin and Morgoth, which I'll provide a link to here: The Words of Hurin and Morgoth
This is still my favourite portrayal of Satan, but now I'm trying to change my response to that portrayal of Satan. I'm now trying to be more like Hurin, being able to have courage and stand firm, even in a no-win situation like Hurin's (and that curse of Morgoth, really, really, worked!) even though things are really bleak, in this day and age, I need to hold-on to hope and trust in God.

So yesterday, I was reading an article on FishEaters, and I stumble across this: https://www.fisheaters.com/conversionoftheheart.html
This article really helped make it all click, I know the Truth, but what am I going to do about it? If I just know the Truth, I'm only on the same level as the Demons, it's only I take the next step and start loving the Truth, that I step up to Our Lady's level, the level of she who crushes demons under her foot. Our Lord has given us this wonderful gift of the One True Church, I need to respond to this precious gift with love, saying "yes" as Our Lady did.

So I'm now finally starting to internalize what I realized last summer, (see here: Turning my anger into mourning) I hope this turns into a great leap forward. I hope this all develops more, as I read more of St. Faustina's diary and converse more with my friends on the FishEaters Forum.

I have busy today, (in fact, I'm actually in a bit of a rush, right now!) so I won't be able to respond to everyone's comments until much later this evening. But all means, check-out what I have learned and comment on it!

Iesu confido Tibi!

J. R. R. Tolkien was Catholic and and I loved his writings!

"I vividly remember going to church with him in Bournemouth. He was a devout Roman Catholic and it was soon after the Church had changed the liturgy from Latin to English. My grandfather obviously didn't agree with this and made all the responses very loudly in Latin while the rest of the congregation answered in English. I found the whole experience quite excruciating, but my grandfather was oblivious. He simply had to do what he believed to be right" - Simeon Tolkien, of JRR Tolkien
