Getting a physical and my future

Ok, first I would like to thank yall for taking the time to read this...basically to make a long story short, I have a fear of going to the doctor...i guess basically I am afraid of some possible terminal illness will be found, and I know like everyone says it is better to find out early...but...

now to the point of the story, it is starting to invade areas of my future..there are a couple of jobs that i would love to have but am afraid to push towards these occupations beacuse of having to get a physical..they are= becoming a police officer and being a truck driver...

Can anyone offer me some words of wisdom, some inspiration...something to make me feel good!

humm... seems like you've got a bit of a problem on your hands here. Nothing God can't take care of though.

Just to let you know, doctors are good. They keep you healthy and do tell you if there is something wrong.

Just recently we had a scare of me having cancer. 14, with cancer. I was scared to death. I prayed and prayed and prayed some more. We ran tests and it turns out I have whats called JRA. Its a type of athritis kids can get and goes away in time.

If you keep God on your side you will be fine. If something was meant to go wrong, then God would tell you and he would help prepare you and shield you from it.

Go to the doctor. A physical lasts maybe 30 minutes. It won't be long. AND God will be there to. So your not alone!

The reason we go and get physicals is to find out if we're alright. The physical won't change if you have something terminal or not. Wouldn't you rather know, so you could possibly do something about it? I don't know about you, but I would hate to end up in a worse situation just because I was afraid.

God doesn't want us to be afraid like that. As you have already stated, fear binds us and hinders us. Don't let this fear rule your life, instead kick it out and go get that physical done. Do remember to pray to God. He will give you not only strength to endure the physical, but to face everything you come across. This He has promised and this you can trust.

With all of the medical technology we have today, it only makes sense to have a physical and get the proper diagnoses of whatever may be going on with our bodies. People are being saved when cancer is detected earlier, not later. Ignorance is not bliss.
