Focus: Light is like Darkness in Hell.
Edward and Kevin were fainthful bous in their chuch. Edward was a sophmore in high school with the hopes of becoming a minister. Kevin was a junior who wanted to become a Minister Of Education and Youth. both boys had their sights on Shaw University. Devin was another youth who belonged to the same church as Wdward and Kevin. They began to see a darker side of Devin. He was always getting into trouble. Devin was rebellingat home, missing school, and selling marijuana. He would drive around town playing loud hip-hop and rap music and he was living large.Focus: Light is like Darkness in Hell.
A few months after his sudden change in life, Devin was beaten badly and had to have surgery. he had become so depressed untilhe wanted to die. He was scared because he knew he was not saved. He even had bad dreams about death as being a dark and dreary place.
Edward, who had been attending the State Congess classes, wa able to tell him about Job's misery and unclear understanding about death. Job believed taht God was his Kinsman-Reedemer. A kinsman redeemer was a relative who would save another relative's life or property.
Kevin instructed Devin how to go toGod in Prayer and accept Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior. As a result of the boy's help, Devin received Christ in his life and recovered completely. Devin began tellin others how Edward and Kevin were like lights in his dark world. He later became alight ot others by telling youth in darkness that Jesus can give light to their lives.
