Not only am I new here, but new to forums in general, so a lot of the terminology is pretty foreign.
I was experiencing a lot of emotional pain, and I wanted to talk to others who also have a Christian world-view. I wanted to join a forum where I could feel free to mention God without having to put up a trigger sign or worry about offending people.
What's funny is that in responding to other people's posts, I helped myself! As I just shared from my heart, it gave me insight for my own problem!
I was having bad memories from my childhood and I was feeling angry and hurt. Last Friday, I forgave my parents, and afterward I felt God flood me with a fresh revelation of Jesus' unconditional love for me! I felt strengthened to be able to love my parents without feeling unsafe!
I'm also grieving the fact that I am losing my grandmother, the only adult in my life who stood up for me when I was a kid. I thank God that she is saved, but still I feel like I'm losing someone very significant to my emotional stability.
I appreciate any blessings anyone is willing to give me. I am not sure how to earn them, how to give them, or what to use them for, but I hope someone will explain it.
I'm very glad I came here. There are a lot of people, so it doesn't seem deserted when I come to visit. I like the way the forum is so searchable. I like being able to find all the posts I've written. I was impressed by the fact that I was asked for my testimony of how I came to salvation. I like the fact that even from the first day, I was allowed to look at other people's profiles.
